It just feels that there is a lot of negativity on here and ppl throwing their toys out of the pram at any given opportunity. Bringing up Kroenkes when they weren’t mentioned once when we were winning or when they spent £150m in the summer for us.
We are 3 points behind a flaky Spurs team (even if you account for nothing on Wed night) and still play them away. Man Utd are as up down as we are albeit have a more experienced team.
There is so much left to play for. We’ve had a good season and can still have a great season. I know we’ve been through a lot of shit as Arsenal fans so perhaps our tolerance is quite low but the season is not over. We have made life hard for ourselves but let’s not write obituaries just yet. Our fixtures post Chelsea look Ok. Spurs are fucking Spurs, never forget that.
As yet we don't know where the funds came from and I suspect it didn't come from their own pocket as they were busy organising 2 loans for the club to pay back at around 300m for the bonds payment and the Govt COVID loan. Then there are the recent stories/leaks? about having a 1 Out - 1 In transfer policy for the rebuild, and now a report we didn't sign Guimaraes because there was no money (which may simply mean none was made available as we didn't sell a CM re the 1 Out 1 In policy).
As for the other points whilst I agree to all in principle, I'm afraid the underlying issue is we do not create enough big chances and we do not then convert them, to the point we have the lowest conversion rate for the calendar year of any team in the top5 UEFA domestic leagues. That means every team that is going to be relegated has better numbers.
Accordingly I struggle to see where we can get those goals from that we will need in order to beat CFC, MU, WHU & TH, let alone regain top4. Essentially we have already used the number of losses we could afford and even if we were to defeat TH they'd still lead us on GD.
