He sounds very average, granted none of us have seen him play.

It's amazing how old 'academy keepers' can get. Martinez is 28 and only now starting to think about first team football. Macey is 26, Illiev is 25.

I'm sure that's the intention. I think Macey is rated within the club, but like Martinez in the past he has fallen between two chairs. I remember thinking he looked very good when he got a few outings for us a few seasons ago though.

On top of that you had Martinelli, ESR, Mari and Chambers out injured.

I’m not the only thing that’s bloated this morning.

I think we will see a lot of last min loans because this isn’t sustainable.

Nelson, Smith-Rowe qualify for some U21 registration benefits making things easier, but don't think Willock, Guendouzi do anymore or Martinelli does yet. Can't Mari and Martinelli be registered in the mid-season window? If so, wonder if either one ends up siting out the 1st half of the domestic campaign.

even if they didn't qualify for u21 registration, we have homegrown slots available.

Did not know where to post this. But it was interesting to me, here is a chart of the minutes we concede goals. That 41-45 minutes strech is just ridiculous, also after the 80 minute is the same. At the end of the game it might be fatigue? But what the fuck are we doing at the end of the first half?

How does that compare to other teams?

Well there are a few that conceded more then us in that interval, but the teams you would expect like Villa, Bournemouth and such. City for example have conceded 2 in that period, Liverpool 5. Chelsea are just as bad as us, but they score more then double what we scored in the same period. This is for last season only and for 10 minute interval, all that I could find.

Helpful. So it appears 41-50 is a high-scoring part of the game and the big teams are making it count. We are coming out even - which is more or less what we were this past season at least, an average team.

City and Liverpool are consistent across games. This is what we need to emulate if we are going to win. We can’t have performances like West Ham where we dominated for close to half the game by a bottom half team. That is not how you win titles.
