i guess a 10 second penalty is worth it for hamilton after he crashed with verstappen, who's being checked in the hospital.

It was a racing incident.

Verstappen always takes the high line. Either you budge or we crash.

Verstappen has a history of repeatedly moving while defending which is known to be incredibly dangerous.

There's one driver here who is known to be clean and one who is super aggresive.

Stewards reviewed the telemetry data, lewis was never making that corner if he didn't crash into max.

Lewis knew what he was doing. It's Silverstone and he loves to win there. He had plenty of room inside the track still but chose to race on Max's wheel. Neither of them are saints, but Lewis was in the wrong on that one. They gave him the second mildest penalty they could, so maybe the stewards also felt it was a first lap racing incident. Bad weekend for Red Bull.

Regardless of whether they were 2 away or 8 away, does Verstappen have any points? I dunno, genuine questions. Clrnc' point seems to be, at least to me, that Lewis seems to be the more aggressive and Max being the cleaner of the two as Lewis has already been penalised this season whilst Verstappen has not.

Verstappen has been extremely aggressive and only Lewis yielding has not caused accidents. Verstappen thinks he can get away with anything.

This is from Verstappen's own team boss in Spain-

Yeah fact still stands Max has zero points for someone you say is super aggressive and apparently dangerous. Lewis 4 points expiring in July doesn't change the fact he has much more demerits than Max over the past 2 years.

Don't really care about what happens in Spain but for this incident its 100% Lewis fault. Don't know why you need to be curt but these are the lines the drivers took. The only reason Lewis didn't crash into Lec who took the exact same line is because he chose to turn more into the apex while for Max he just his car hit him. He knows what he is doing like what Asterix said. That was the only way he could win Max.

On one hand, you say Lewis has been more aggressive generally and over years but conveniently choose 'not to care' about the instances where Max was aggressive?

estabon ocon wins his first ever f1 race in Hungary, that was pretty wild. alonso did an incredible job holding off hamilton in those final laps.

bottas knocked out the red bulls on the first lap, hamilton must be proud! 😆

Yep, that should secure Bottas' seat at Mercedes next year !!

The McClaren's had started really well so it's a shame for them. Lovely for Ocon though - nice to see different drivers picking up wins. Alonso was a terrific team mate there too - great team driving.

George Russell P2 in the Williams and beat everyone except Verstappen at Spa qualifying. Insane!

It really was. George is a great young driver. Toto says they have made a decision on their team for next season but won't be announcing it yet.

Shame the actual "race" was a farce though. 3 laps behind a safety car and they say that's enough to award half points. More likely it's to say they fulfilled their ticketing obligations. Still feel good for George Russell though - first podium for him, and for Williams in quite a while. Bit of a shame for Ricciardo though - in a full race he was a decent chance to make the podium starting P4.
