See, this is what I mean when I say you're negative. Sven-Göran would obviously jump at the chance of coming here.
Nah, he is realistic. It's better than pulling the wool over eyes and putting a positive spin on literally everything. Luiz being a good signing because he only cost 7 million. Jheez! It's a sign of age in any case. When you've been following football for a long time, you realise that most things don't pan out like you would have thought. Quincy Owusu Abeyie becoming the next great Wenger player comes to mind. Wilshere and Ramsey controlling the midfield for the next decade is another. The list goes on. You then realise that most things simply don't work out like you had thought. So when I hear people talk about Saka, Martinelli or whoever, I just LOL.
I get the hype if the person is young. They're still in the optimist/deluded stage of following football, but once you have been around the block. Especially, following a club like Arsenal who is not consistently successful. You become far more realistic in your assessment, and don't delude yourself over anything or everything, because you have more negative reference experiences to keep you grounded.
P.S. I realise I have gone off on a completely different tangent. I had been meaning to get this off my chest for a long time.
