These combined 11s are dull. We should just go out there and beat them.

Willock has had all of two solid games, not including Fabinho is ridiculous

Wrong Willock.

😆 just noticed that.
Worth it, for me, just to read how wound up some Liverpool fans are, in the comments.

We’ve got the best Willock ain’t we

You think we’ll get our Willock out at Anfield?

Over here we only really use our first names. Imagine me reading this thread. 😆

Ok, I have a good feeling. We'll win 2-1. Pepe with a late winner.

We is all about the yoof

Same but I do get their point

I know Malays do not use family names or surnames and in Iceland, listings such as the telephone directory are alphabetised by first name rather than surname.

I'm reminded of a blog on the subject i read several years back and, since then, the below statement has always stuck in my mind whenever i've travelled abroad.
"In some cultures it’s inappropriate to address someone using his/her first name, unless you are invited to do so. This also applies to online communication, even if it’s becoming more common in many languages to use the first name when addressing someone new."
https://www.wintranslation.com/cross-cultural-naming-conventions/

Many cultures are different though and people are mainly called by their first name. Even when addressing them as Mr. X or Mrs. Y

I think that's what Clrnc and Banduan are saying.
Unless i misunderstood, they are bemused by the discussion that it's odd for players to have their first names on their shirts as that's normal in Singapore and Malaysia.

With Holding available maybe even this weekend I think there is definitely pressure to play a back 3 for this I just really hope Emery doesn't cave in, even if we do have Luiz now.

Kola did a good job vs Pool at our place but iirc the outcome of that match was also very much caused by Fabinho not yet clicking and having a really bad day at the office. Kola was good that day because he had support from our CMs who Fabinho could not check.

Özil and Xhaka failed this test and are out of this game.

I don't think either made the team and Emery is just being diplomatic.

People diss Ozil but I believe our best performances v Pool in recent years are with him in the team.

Where'd you get this news Tone? Everywhere seems to suggest they are fit and ready to be selected tomorrow.

Edit: Ok just seen your edit. Not sure what to make of what the guy's saying. If Emery said as much I would have thought it would already be in the news and on the main site. Nowhere else seems to have picked this up even though it's part of a press conference.
