I've yet to see the Arsenal Breakdown episode but am intrigued Doozy would be considered anywhere near MotM

His form fell off in winter when fatigue set in. Ten games in is laughable, especially because it took him a couple games to find confidence and form

Both Torreira and Guendouzi fell off badly due to fatigue last season. It's a combination of being both overplayed in terms of number of games and over-extended in how Emery wanted the team to press. Our team flew out of the gates. In that early season unbeaten stretch we were running significantly more than we had been under Wenger. I think this contributed to wear and tear across the team, and our eventual demise. Hopefully, we manage this better this year.

Not just under AW - we were clocking up the most ks per game of any PL club.

However, it's unsustainable and led to the crash we experienced around Christmas. Some were a little perplexed as to why we had suddenly dropped a level but the players genuinely looked gassed. We only experienced a revival when Ramsey returned and gave us a fresh boost in the middle of the park. Part of being a good manager is managing the players fatigue levels over the course of the season. Emery looked quite amateur by running the team into the ground during the first third of the season.

Was just reading that we lost the most minutes to injury of the top6, but our number of injuries were down compared to previous seasons.
We lost out because of the 3 season ending injuries before the end of 2018 and then Rambo's late season ending injury.

Agreed the players looked gassed by the end of the season, but IMO this was mainly down to the back3 with it's limitations on selections and roles being about the only shape that was working due to those early injuries, as opposed to being the result of the increased intensity.
