I'm not sure there has been a turning considering we have allowed quite a few players reach their final year recently but its good to get this one sorted.

Signings like Saka and Auba were ones we were unable to extend previously. So it's pretty clear theirs been a turning point. You could argue how big that turn is, but it's big enough to be obvious.

We managed to resign Özil and Ramsey (it was us who said no to him) so I don't think the Auba case is anything new.

Where has it ever said we said "no" to Ramsey? He didn't sign the offer on the table, so we pulled it. Never seen it reported any other way. Is there more info on it that I missed?

I presume Quincy is referring to Ramsey interview. He always maintained he was signing it but we cancelled negotiations suddenly when Emery came

We offered twice what they're worth to get them to stay and they were years apart but you've needed those examples because so many others left. And Ramsey didn't even stay. Essentially he said he would if we payed him double his worth. And ozil didn't get any other £££ offers. Auba and Saka would have had plenty of offers.

But I can see the similarities in how auba and ozil put their feet up.

Yes we offered them a lot of money, and that's what we did with Auba as well.
