Just waking up to see what I missed overnight. Think that's tremendous business for a player who offered 3 goals a season in the front 3. Like Welbeck he'll neither be missed nor remembered.
But miffed about Nketiah going on loan though. Guess we're going through a season with no backup at centre forward again.
:babysad: Sad to see Iwobi go. Always liked him.
The more I think about it the more sad I get. Sold for no reason, and was the only one who gave a shit in our most important game of the season. That screamer would be his last contribution to us, never imagined that.
Great transfer window and fingers crossed Tierney fixes a lot of the defence as i have zero hope in sideshow. Not that bothered about Iwobi as Ceballos is so much better at advancing the ball and attack has not been a weakness.

It’s as if we sold a peak Henry ffs
Guys, Iwobi had 3 years to prove himself. This is no longer Wenger’s Arsenal. If you want us to be a big club and act like a big club then accept us getting rid of shit players. No sentiment in football.
David Ornstein on Arsenal’s transfer business: “They wanted, for a long time - a winger, a box-to-box midfielder, a centre-back & a left-back - and they’ve got all of them in this window alone.” [BBC] #afc Ornstein: “Ceballos is only a loan, Pepe satisfies the winger, Tierney & Saliba to come in & then Luiz for now, so perhaps they’ve got actually more than they wanted to. There’s a real sense of satisfaction internally that they’ve got things done so efficiently.” #afc Ornstein: “Every single window, people have bemoaned what Arsenal should’ve done & that they didn’t do. This new regime, the two-pronged attack with Raul Sanllehi, the deal-maker, & Huss Fahmy, the deal-broker, two people going out & getting it all done.” #afc

Basically when the club shows ambition and shows us they know what they are doing, the fans are always happy. Don Raul. For the first time in a decade there won't be negativity going into the season and everyone is buzzing
Let’s be honest, Iwobi smelt so wengery. We need to have better quality than he to be where we want to be

What negativity was there going into 2014-15?
People bawling their eyes out at Iwobi's sale.
Yeah we are really going to miss his 3 goals a season and his 5 assists.
Luiz scored 3 last season too lol.

Bookmakers had us as sixth before selling him, that should tell you that if you look through non-fan glasses this is not trolling. Yep, I think this is a correct take. What's worse is that we had no replacement lined up and his contract wasn't running out, so there was no reason to sell him except that we liked the money on offer. That's how small clubs do business, not top clubs. We'll see a lot of Auba and Mkhi on that wing next season. Maybe even Özil, which has never worked at any point. Pick your poison.

Yup, I might've felt different if we sold Iwobi earlier, I honestly don't know. If we had to sell Iwobi to buy Pepe then obviously that's okay, but the way it looks now is that we chose to sell our only left winger and not buy a replacement.
Who is Huss Fahmy?
Guy sounds like one of those prank names Bart use to give Moe on The Simpsons.

Being Arsenal through and through only means something to our fans if your name is Carl Jenkinson and you're fucking shit at football.
FFS Why'd you have to post that pic of young Alex? 😢

BBC says Iwobi deal 28m rising to 34m. Surely that can't be right?

What does he do? Essentially, he does contracts. Fahmy has been brought in to take the lead in negotiating deals for both incoming and current players with the club. https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/news/arsenal-transfer-news-huss-fahmy-14462168

Should be more than that , they spent a similar amount on Moise Kean
Strikers tend to cost much more than midfielders so Iwobi is valued higher.
Nooo not our naija boy. This deal feels shittier by the minute 🙁
What exactly is the Eriksen situation at the end of all this? Is he staying for sure? If he stays will he get playing time over lo celso?
I thought we were done with this loyalty nonsense. Snap out of it!
