Luiz is a 3/10 signing. I really hope someone else is coming and that it isn't Rugani.

What's wrong with Luiz?

Iwobi going to Everton...

Tierney announced

Iwobi gone. Did not expect that

Maybe we really rate Nelson and Martinelli

Where? what? How much?

£45m if it all gets confirmed

Iwobi gone and no one coming in is a disaster. I imagine Emery will stick Auba out there now.

Window downgraded quite significantly with that bit of news for me. Can only assume the fee was too good.

Absolutely. Window gone from 9 to 7 within minutes. Still got half an hour to sign a replacement though

Hmm...£45m is a good amount. But we could have done with him for another year.

35m + addons is a joke

£35-40m according to Orny. I don't get it myself.

No more ranting and raving about Iwobi at least.
I would've had him as a starter with Aubameyang and Pepe for balance.
At the end of the day, the books must balance, I guess.

I'm loathe to lose Iwobi anwyay, but if no one's coming in, what's the point?

They must feel the offer is too good to turn down.

Fingers crossed for Zaha to be confirmed in the next 20 minutes, let's go!

I guess we need money back now. We spent a lot?

Also don't like it just because it brings back memories of early days of City. We basically built City phase 1 with Clichy, Nasri, Toure, etc. Gave them legitimacy before they went after Tier 1 stars.

I wouldn't say that Iwobi leaving is a disaster, but its not ideal. I have a feeling that Nelson may be getting a few more minutes now

Ultimately I think we needed to balance the books - otherwise Iwobi would certainly have held his value till next summer.

Iwobi + £30m for Pepe isn't bad.

Had to balance it out to about 70m.

Not a fan of shipping Iwobi, but this what happens when we have suckers like Mustafi and Mkhi taking up space.

We need Zaha now.

Nelson will get a shot now as well.

We need to create room and clearly Iwobi wasn’t part of the long term plan

This is it more or less. Better Iwobi than one of our strikers, I guess.

40 mil, most expensive sale we ever made.

the question i guess is, is iwobi better (£40m better) than nelson? because both were going to play that LW role. and i suspect with us signing tierney, that kola is actually going to play more as a LW too. i dont think iwobi is 10x the player that nelson is or can be. i think nelson deserves minutes. taking £40m for iwobi is decent business

Sorry, it clearly says 17:01 on the tweet. Good hustle Everton, but you came up a little short. Thank you for your interest in our affairs.

Kola might still be off with Tierney coming in.

Breaking SSN: Iwobi to Everton still possible

How stupid..

There is obviously the caveat that timelines and the information we have is incomplete - there could be an answer to all those questions, we just don't know them.

There absolutely can, but the bottom line is that we've strengthened a central defence that let in 51 league goals with David Luiz.

And Tierney. Mustafi has been relegated further plus Bellerin will hopefully be fit for most of this season instead of out for most of it.

£40m is great business for Iwobi.

Still a bit gutted we missed out on Upamecano though, would have capped off our window if we bought in a top class CB.

6 deals sheets submitted to the PL!
