Spurs have come a long way. They used to be the team selling their Carricks and Berbatovs to Man Utd now they're beating them to top players.

And United are now scrapping desperately to get a deal done for a 33-year old Mandzukic with Llorente as their backup plan ðŸ˜†

United have fallen a long way too tbf. Also think, in United's defence, they didn't want to pay his crazy wages, if they had, he might have ended up there. In the end he has only one choice.

Does anyone else read anything into the fact that Ornstein, as far as I'm aware, hasn't said a single word about Upamecano?

Orny saying the Dybala deal not guaranteed to happen due to complexities. There's hope yet.

Here we go!

Now get us another good player Arsenal.

If you were Dybala you would probably choose Spurs to be fair, CL footie, Argentine manager and London.

Good to hear we weren't interested in Coutinho. That story made absolutely no sense.

Rumours we are going for Rugani as well as Luiz, and potential for Zaha if Iwobi leaves, have been offered Coutinho too.

Still hoping they don't gel or better still spurs it up but realise that's wishful thinking so, being realistic, i think it's a fight between ourselves, manu and chelski for the last CL place.

Title is very unlikely, but feel we can still achieve up to 2nd place as doubt Liverpool will repeat their consistent performances in the league this time round. The others have strong squads, but our front line is amongst the best in the league.

You are much more hopeful than me as i don't think we even beat spurs and that's because of our CBs. I'm not feeling Luiz! We have improved massively but i feel we need to get the left wing sorted before we can go toe to toe with Liverpool as pinning TAA back diminishes their attack. The worry is their players are relatively young so may step up a level from last year and if those that didn't contribute like Keita and Chamberlain recover their previous form then they remain firm favourites ahead of us.

Regarding: How do Spuds fit everyone in?

I think Alli is pretty much done. Hamstrings seem suspect.

Kane's ankle seems fucked too. I think it's affecting him mentally too.

Think Pochettino knows their team will need an overhaul soon. They're just trying to do it early.

Apparently we got 3m for Thompson plus a sell on clause. Good business.

Why are we suddenly so smart in transfers. Liverpool like.

Wouldn't be surprised if we sold Iwobi and cave in to Coutinho request to join us.

How'd we do that? Great business.

I think he'll become a decent player as he gets some experience. He's a bog standard fullback, but has good speed, atleticism and is aggressive in his defending. Sell-on well worth including.

Telegraph reporter says we could end up with £17m for Bielik and Thompson. Mad money.

We have to remember some of the adds tend to never happen.

I can't remember the last time I was actively refreshing on transfer deadline for Arsenal related news.

Has he said anything about other players we've failed to land that we were in for? Seems to be the clubs go to guy for confirmation once things have reached a certain stage and they're confident. If they're still after Upamecano then they wont feed the press is my take.

Rico Henry --> Celtic
Dominic Thompson --> Brentford
Kieran Tierney --> Arsenal

Dybala to Spurs OFF!

Ricky already erasing Koscielny from his vocabulary.

Given the Luiz deal is only for 2 years, I would like to think that the smart thing to do is have an agreement in principle to sign Upamecano next summer and maybe loan them ESR this season as a goodwill gesture.

"Good Morning, Specsavers. How can I help?"

"I'd like to book an appointmet please."

Chiellini must have filled in Dybala on Tottenham's history.

Fucking lovely. Now for us to pull off a madness in the last few hours. 6 hours to go.

It's Juve who pulled the plug.

In all seriousness, as funny as this is, what kind of shitty joke club are Juve. Whoring Dybala out and treating him like shit, and when he finally agrees to a transfer they suddenly change their mind.

Didn't Real do the same to Bale? Perhaps, trying to show who is boss?

We've got everyone we went for. When Raul knocks, remember?

But seriously, he did tweet about Zaha and Pépé. Earlier in the window he tweeted about Andersen, Praet, Frazer etc.

Just surprised he hasn't been told to rule it out if it's definitely off and also didn't jump on and say we were interested when it was clear from reliable sources that we had made a bid. He likes his "as others have said" or "as per others" these days, but not a word on Upamecano.

No doubt just me wishing.

The story is that Dybala wanted some fees/image rights paid amounting to £12m, Spurs didn't want to pay it and Juve probably decided it wouldn't be worth it if it came out of their end. Essentially the same reason it broke down with United.
