I wonder if Pepe could end up as a striker in the future. The main thing that could stop him is that his first touch is a bit erratic, but that can be improved on with hard training.

If theres any league in continental Europe that resembles England its Ligue 1 anyway. EPL players might have better ~~doping~~ conditioning but in terms of rough physical play they're pretty alike

Possibly. I think if he's a pure dribbler then out wide where he can take on full-backs one v one will suit us best. Someone to open up the game when teams sit back and congest the middle of the pitch.

I imagine he will come off the bench at Burnley.
After that, it's Liverpool, Spurs, Watford (with an interlull before Watford) We need to have our strongest possible squad for those 3 games.

I don't how true this is but i thought it was hilarious. Apparently, manu tried to gazump our Pepe bid with a €90m offer but couldn’t pay till Lukaku’s exit was secured. Since that transfer to Inter was delayed, they couldn’t go through with their offer.

This is so good to hear. This consistent message from Khiat, Sanllehi and others that we are aiming high. We lost too much time being a middling club. This guy is going to be fire for us. He’s going to have an Overmars / Ljunberg level of impact.

It really comes down to the gaffer’s ability to forge an identity to get points on the board quickly. We can not afford to let this tremendous energy that the fans built up over the summer dissipate quickly.

In the years before Sanllehi (the BS era), the only person talking ambition was Gazidis. It sounded hollow and no outsiders echoed it. With Sanllehi we are seeing follow through. More useful transfers in the last 2 summers than in Gazidis’ last 4 or 5. There is a momentum we haven’t seen in over a decade
