Don't remember Ramsey being an important player under Emery, more bit part I think? I remember he didn't start half the matches generally.

Nobody is batting an eyelid because he is not so good as to go out of your way. Thiago is the same age. Liverpool are going out of their way.
Seriously, I’ve watched probably 25 Juventus games this season. I follow them closely. They have a dysfunctional midfield and Ramsey is a non-factor there.
Speedy is right, the amount of interests in some of the players we overrate as fans says it all. The clubs and fans outside in general have a far differing view.
Ramsey even without injuries is a bit part player there, like our Willock. Some Juve fans want him to leave, but most of them are not even fussed about him to even discuss about it. And you can understand why when you look at the midfielders they have, he's one of the last choice on merit.
Clrnc, it's a serious issue. Flobaba says we love our players too much. And he is right.
We went from having a team that had 4 of the best Premier League players England had ever seen (Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Sol) playing alongside each other along with Ashley et al to having a team where only Aubameyang is a legitimate top tier talent. And it happened slowly, so we did not notice how our appetites were being conditioned to go from appreciating caviar to tolerating gruel by Gazidis. We'd hear fans make comments like "we are better without Henry" and so on. And over time, we've come to appreciate lesser players and hold them up as paragons of footballers.
Ramsey is great in an Arsenal context of depreciation and dilapidation. But he's mediocre at football's high table.
