Respected compared to who, though? Aside from a single season with Athletic Bilbao, Bielsa's entire status is about theoretical framework and coaching seminars, not actual results on the pitch. I reckon there's a reason he never lasts at any club or national team. Bloke was too rigid to find a way to work Batistuta and Crespo into the same side - bloody Sweden sent him packing in the World Cup group stages while he was coaching Argentina's greatest generation in half a century ro so - and he's the same now.
