Not PL but we don't have a Championship thread: I've been watching a bit of Leeds-Derby in the background and Bielik has been completely lost out there. He looks like he's 15 kg overweight. Tries to do too much but ends up doing too little instead. Can't cope with the pressure. How on earth did we get £10 million for him?

There was enough of a buzz that he was the second coming. We need to big up all our players. Listen to the way commentators talk about every kid at Chelsea and United. Every kid who started for us on Thursday should be worth £20m or more with enough hype. Won’t hurt if your boy Emery plays something resembling football

I've admittedly only seen the odd game from him, but every time I've watched Bielik he has moved across the pitch like endstage Yaya Touré. You can't get away with that in modern football. I get why Ricky said he thought his only shot was as a centreback, but his defensive instincts seem to be missing. He was at fault for Leeds' goal in the first half for instance. I watched a bit of the U21 Euros this summer too, and it was disconcerting to see a 6 ft 2 bloke jump under the ball while trying to defend a corner.

He's getting subbed off now in the 58th minute. Derby's worst player in a difficult game. Their fans aren't happy.

From what I saw in the Euros, I didn’t get the same kind of buzz I felt with the kids who played for us Thursday. He’s not better than Chambers and nobody here is singing and dancing about him. He was a tidy player, but imagine this guy in central midfield next to Xhaka trying to stop a counter attack.

Quite. In fact I'd be astonished if Bielik ever turned out as good as Chambers, either in midfield or as a centreback. Chambers had seasons of PL experience at the same age.
