Still very weak in defence when they play teams that can pin them back and it will cost them when they play good sides in the knock-outs of the Champions League. If Guardiola couldn't reach the final last season, I doubt he ever will with this City side.

VAR is going to rule out a lot of 'good' goals if it's going to be so accurate on offside calls, they need to bring back the daylight rule.

I was reading about it last week on The Athletic, anticipating exactly this kind of call. It's actually being referred to as 'crosshair' technology, so yuo're not far off 😆

Didn't like that either, but mainly because it didn't look off to my eyes. But their technology can measure what I can't see, so I'll take it because more obvious mistakes will be overturned. And I want accuracy and fairness. If a great goal has to be chalked off even when it'a only a fraction offside, it's a price I'm willing to pay.

Nah, you can't have technology and then make it subjective. I know the benefit of doubt should go to the attacking team under normal rules but there's no actual 'doubt' here.
