I wonder where things started going south with Jack. Foden looks way more polished and well rounded, and is obviously more prepared for top flight football than Wilshere was at this stage.

Foden is 20. Jack was toying with a peak Barcelona at Camp Nou at the same age.

The only thing that ever went wrong with Wilshere was injuries.

But yeah, it's incredibly sad to think that we're stuck with an awful midfield at a time where Wilshere should've been one of the best players in the world for us. Not quite sure about his attitude either though, but we'll never know how far he could've reached without his injuries.

Yep, Wilshere was ahead of Foden at the same age and was in the PFA team of the year but we didn't protect him like City have with Foden. He played 50 games in 2010-11 and we wonder why his body broke down.

Jack was our player of the season in 10-11. He had turned 19 during that season. We could have, should have managed him better but he probably just didn't have the body, nor the discipline. Most players that break through early in top teams end up playing a lot of minutes. Him playing as much as he did wasn't exceptional.

Yes, but there's a bit of a difference doing it in a Champions League knockout round and doing it in front of empty stands against a Liverpool that are already league champions and have absolutely nothing to play for.

Greenwood’s living up to his hype.
Saw Robbie doing something analysis on him. Showed him scoring multiple goals through people’s legs. He says it’s something he works on during spare time in practice

Martial, rashford, and greenwood supplied by bruno and pogba is a proper handful. Glad we got them out of the way when we did

Yeah, the Brighton and City results probably killed off any small chance we had of reaching Champions League. You can't give away six points with so few games left to play. We'll do well just to reach Europa this season when you look at the games we've got left.

Id still want to get europa football. The likes of saka, martinelli and willock got great exposure from it, and it doesnt hurt that its worth 20-30m in tv/prize money

Yep, I've changed my mind about it too. I remember us discussing it and you made the point about not just prize/tv money but also gate income. I think it will be crucial to take every cent we can earn now in corona times (assuming people will be let back into the stadiums this fall of course), and with all these high-profile youngsters around the cups will probably be as interesting as the league next season.
