Surely after the Dr Fuentes scandal no one seriously believes that Barcelona and Real Madrid (and others in Spain) aren't using PEDs? Then there are Guardiola's ties with Dr Cugat: a knee specialist that tests and treats every type of injury Man City players suffer . . . in Barcelona. That sounds economical!
Bottom line, Guardiola is a doping cheat. At every club he has been at he has had a small squad with a core of the 10-15 superior players that have played 50+ games in the season, every season. And he has always racked up 90+ points wherever he's been, barring one year at City.
If I am 100% certain Guardiola cheats, and I really am, then the team that finishes above him must cheat too. And what a surprise, Liverpool have a small squad with a core of 10-15 players that are MUCH better than the 2nd choices for each position in the squad, and they play 50+ games without blinking. Despite a relentless fixture list they suffer almost no injuries, very little fatigue, yet they play in basically every game. If something unprecedented is achieved you have you ask how? What is the team doing right now that no one else is? What are they doing that no one has done before?
Are Liverpool that good player for player? No. Are they doing anything from a tactical perspective that gives them the edge? No. Are they doing this just because they are trying really hard, harder than all the teams that have come before them? No.
That's not to say I don't think they've got a ton of other things right. Their recruitment has been very good and they hire the best off the pitch, but, no, for me, that doesn't explain how they are doing what they are doing.
