which is good for this specific purpose. if Son is back from his red card frenzy then he can play as their 9 and they usually have better movement and connectivity. then hopefully, once the game is won, he can pick up another red card

Hopefully Sons next red is for a leg breaker on VVD. Reminds me of Chelsea couple years ago under Conte where they fielded the same team for like 35 league games, these are some good fucking steroids Klopp has them on.

Can see United Wolves or City also trouble Pool. Bit shit that when CL fixture congestion kicks in there are no good teams playing them but whatever, they'll slip soon enough

Also why do we not play them until April or May? Every other league manages to get teams to play each other in the same order home and away except for England.

If we write off the home games:

-Spuds are in shite form. I'll be surprised if they get anything.

Wolves, on their day, can nick something. First goal will be crucial.
West Ham won't do much.
Watford look a lot better, but are also unlikely to get points.
Everton, like the former two, are on a new manager bounce. Their derby record is abysmal though.
City might be focusing on the Champions League by then.

To me, if anyone will beat them on that run, it will have to be Wolves.

That's the thing though, it doesn't have to be one of the likely candidates. The closest ones so far are Aston Villa. They might just be unlucky some day.

If Liverpool get an injury to van Dijk then anything's possible.

Still, I think they have such momentum and the absolute dread of not ending this 30 year wait with all the wanker ex-Liverpool pundits and pro-Liverpool journalists, and their fans' utter desperation, all coming together as a perfect storm to carry them home unbeaten.

It will be a proper kick in the balls if it happens, but the football will go on. Maybe we can see it as a positive and stop living in the past as a fanbase, perhaps even as a club? Write some new history.

To be honest, the 49 games unbeaten thing is great, but the important part is the invincibles tag that comes from not losing a game all season - that's the one that is extraordinary.

Klopp had to compete with Bayern's doping. That dortmund team sprinted aggressively all day so does this liverpool team.

To be fair that Dortmund was completely shot at the end of Klopps time. Everyone broke down constantly, in 2013/14 theirs was the worst injury situation I've ever seen the entire backline was out for months plus Gündogan Kuba Reus and a couple more.

Not going to say its steroids for certain but it'd explain a lot. The right steroids help in virtually every aspect of training, regeneration most importantly of course which reduces likelihood of injury in the next games.

Bet our idiots are the only team in the league not to juice

I know Wenger was strongly against it after what happened to him at Monaco. He spoke out a lot about it as he did suspect it was happening but authorities have turned a blind eye to it, they probably don't want that scandal to hurt the image of football.

Problem is after all these years no team has got done and we have got left behind. Knowing our luck we would start and get caught! I could be wrong but I can't look at those Liverpool players and not be suspicious. It should be said their players are naturally quite gifted athletes but surely they can't play at that intensity so often with such a small squad and remain injury free.

Very unscientific on my part but you can kind of see that our team trying to close down off the ball like City has them completely spent by half time. There's definitely an extraordinary gap in fitness levels and you have to wonder whether why

I would say confidence and Emery's inconsistent team selection is an explanation. Going 11 league games with only 2 wins and a different XI every weekend with unfamiliar starters is going to influence effort, and an unravelling of team cohesion leads to less coordinated player movement, which overtime leads to waning fitness.
