I think the rots coming quicker, that Europa win at United glossed over the fact they were already disintegrating.

There CL place is far from Guaranteed. Liverpool, City and Leicester will get it but Chelsea and United look about level with Spurs. Its depressing that we are already out of the conversation for top 4.

Not sure Leicester are guaranteed a CL place either. It only took 7-8 games for them to establish themselves firmly in the top four and it would only take 7-8 bad ones to sink again. They don't have the squad to be competitive so they'd have to luck out with injuries and fatigue to stay up there. And that's also assuming they can keep outperforming probability-related statistics the entire season.

He's played nearly as many minutes for Bordeaux as any of our defenders have played. Maybe he was just full of shit all along?

Carlo Ancelotti becomes Everton manager, good appointment for them. Interesting to see how he does for them.

I can't imagine that's gonna end well. He just got sacked twice in a row by bigger clubs than Everton. The only reason he goes there now is because they must have offered him bigger wages than he would have gotten in Italy. That's not a good motivation at all, and the fact that he jumped at the job less than a week after leaving Napoli is telling.
