Yep, we need to tie Saliba down. I'm sure everything that has been said here will be re-litigated and blame allocated to Arteta all over again if that doesn't happen.
I was having a chat to a fellow gooner at a house party earlier this evening, and we were agreeing this season's been the most fun following Arsenal in a long stretch. I haven't really written the book on it, but I think maybe since 2008 or so.
I'm still un-gaslighting myself after the mood on OMITT during last season. It was a disappointing year with the way we tailed off from top four and capitulated to Spurs, but meanwhile the foundations of our present good form and positivity were being laid. Throughout the season you could see many benefits of the changed approach. All that time, I was constantly getting "Arteta's shit, Arteta's incompetent, all the players hate Arteta" yada yada ad nauseam ad infinitum fed into my eyeballs through this site.
No doubt Arteta does have his limitations as a manager and a man, but our current crop of players visibly love playing for him and for this version of Arsenal. Including Saliba as far as anyone can tell.
