what stood out to me, even in those minimal preseason games before he went on loan, was his nimbleness relative to his size. despite being 6'4, he turns quickly, has good acceleration, and has quick feet.
He's always had these attributes. What has changed now is his heading. He used to head like me. Close his eyes and knock the ball with the top of your head and hope. Now he rises and attacks. You can see that he's been deliberately working on this ability.
Other than getting caught out against United on those counters, he's been superb.
