Saka is a little easier on the eye when on the ball. He drops the shoulder a lot etc. Gabi is more rigid and straight line-ish.

That's the extent of it though. Neither are flashy.

He is great at it no doubt.. but... he is soo good at reading his opponents that I would like to see him take it up a couple more levels, definitely has it in him... would be unstoppable.

He should just watch the master at work

They’re both efficient players. Odegaard is the same way in that he is one of the most technically gifted players in the league but he only ever uses his flashy skills to get out of tight situations. He doesn’t engage in grandiose acts the way Antony does. But make no mistake, they’re all technically capable. Not just dribbling, but spatial awareness and linking up with players around them.

Claudius Ode likes to do some crazy stuff too, just not stupidly. He's definitely a bit flashy, but with a purpose.

Qwiss yeah. Usually when you see a piece of Ode skill, you think it’s the best thing he could’ve done in the moment to beat the man or move the ball quicker. Contrast with Pepe who is insanely skilled, but doesn’t use his skill in the same way to advance fluidity

We've come to expect today's type of performance from Gabi most weekends. Just to say he's going to continue to make Brasil NT look irresponsible for not rearing him alongside Vini and Rodrygo.

I know Saka is our (Hale End) boy, but Martinelli just does it for me. His story, personality and game are all endearing with balance between talent, charisma and hard work.

Expecting another banger season from him.

I love how his base level has shot up so dramatically.

2-3 years ago he could hardly trap a ball and his dribbling was loose (I'm still scarred by his performance vs Burnley away).

Now he's got all the tools to propel him to a top class level.

Kid is a baller but just needs to add a bit of consistency and adaption to his game (instead of dribbling with his eyes looking down).

Love his energy and spirit though, kinda of player you would love to have in your team.

this was a bit of a throwback performance. he had that manic two way energy when he first broke through. maybe the presence of trossard will push him to higher levels

Not like that back heel was the first time Gabi has pulled some unorthodox move to leave two or three defenders rolling around like the Thompson twins at a crucial moment. He's extremely effective and is a regular matchwinner, part of it is that he's highly tactically aware, and therefore knows where to make runs and where to put the ball—even with his "head down" lulz.

I'm hoping he'll get a few chances centrally this season. He's got a superb mentality that brings together confidence and humility, and we know he's got another level of finishing in him.

That's why I was always so bemused at those comments and that he apparently didn't know how to dribble or trap a ball. Dude was a baller from when Emery first gave him a chance in those EL games back in 2019.

He's just become so much stronger and more experienced tactically since then. A natural progression. He most certainly isn't head down even when it looks like it because he's aware of what's going on around him. Otherwise he wouldn't get so many assists or pre assists.

Nketiah is a head down player who has eyes for goal and nothing else unless he has no other option. But you need those kinds of players in your team as well.

He was loose in his dribbling a few years ago in some games, 100%.

You can see he's worked tremendously hard on it. Not outlandish to say this. He was raw as fuck and signed from some minnow club.
