Saka is also in a somewhat easier position than Martinelli as a lot of our build up play comes from left central midfield with Zinchenko heavily involved. That opens up a lot of space for Saka on the opposite side of the pitch. Often leaving Saka 1v1 with a defender.

Want to remind folks that we have extended one of the brightest young talents in the league. For me young wide forwards in the league, it’s Saka, Foden, Mitoma, Kulu, Martinelli. And we have two of them.

When we look at the prices players are fetching, it’s not hard to imagine that if we went into the market now, Mattinelli and Saka at their current development would easily cost £150m together.

I reckon a lot of people talking about Mitoma 'eventually going for 100m' are assuming he's a lot younger than he is. Unless he moves this summer his best years will end up being at Brighton.

He’s one of the best players in his position not at a big club. He will fetch a packet. Expand the group to players under 25 and let’s see who the best young wide forwards are. He will be in your premier league top 10 right now

I think he’s priceless. But I haven’t seen lots of evidence of that kind of pricing. That’s basically only Mbappe at this stage. He probably never leaves for a fee (God-willing), so it’s hard to give a valuation.

Claudius Antony went for 90, Mudryk for 100. Even without bias I'd expect Saka to fetch 25% more than those two if not more.

Which is why Mitoma will fetch a super high price too relative to the younger players

Saka is the best wide player in the league right now and up there with the top wide players in Europe. Not even comparable to Antony/Mydruk.

Crazy to think he is still only 21, the potential is huge and I'm sure we will get to see it realised in the next few years 😍
