Imagine Napoli ever even contemplating selling us anything ... we have robbed them multiple times over the past few summers with Torreira, Leno and now Pepe.
We should complete the set by bidding for Koulibaly with Elneny, Mustafi and Xhaka thrown in free as a sweetener.

That's what they get for the Ospina deal!
Zaha is 27? Imo, that's too old for a huge transfer fee, as you're unlikely to recoup it when he's 30 or 31.
Better off spending big on top players in 20-24 bracket, whom you can sell later and keep the musical chairs going with minimal net spend.
Absolutely. I’m not interested in blowing £70m on Zaha. That’s reckless. Tierney and Pépé will grow value.
This was the window for him in his prime. He is going to sulk and Palace might regret it
The way money has become dominant in football means that you can’t trade for a player in his peak anymore if you’re a club like Arsenal. You need to sell them when they hit their peak to clubs that don’t have a balance sheet. We need to buy young, grow value and then hold or sell when they hit 27 to someone who needs 1 or 2 pieces to compete. Only in instances where we have a complete squad and the final piece becomes available should we buy a 27 year old ourselves
Depending on how much he sulks I wonder if clubs will make a move for him in January.

Rumours of Chelsea if they overturn their ban.
I'd go for him in January, 27 or not. Palace won't get £80 million for him though, that chance is gone now. I'd offer them the Iwobi money plus an additional £20 million, maybe with an extra player thrown in.
I think we can do better than Zaha for that kind of money.

I'd go for him too but not for that kind of money. Maybe up to £55m-£60m for me. Any more than that I'd walk away, when you are getting over £80m you might as well put a bit more in and try for someone like Jadon Sancho.
Sancho is amazing. Watched him the other day vs Bayern, would easily shelve out 120m for him no problem.
Crucial thing is to get UCL this year and continue our building process. We got a very good base to start with now.
Jadon Sancho, the highest potential Englishman, will go for over 100m pounds.
And he won't be going to Arsenal.
i could see chelsea with extra money from this summer splashing the cash next summer on him.
I don't think Chelsea will move in those circles again unless Abramovich decides to chuck a load of money at them again.
He lost interest when City became the richest kids in town - lost his trump card
I think the Zaha ship has sailed - for him and for us.

And that’s a good thing
