"Kemba Walker plans to commit to a four-year, $141M maximum contract with the Boston Celtics after free agency opens on Sunday"
I feel strange. Kemba is an admirable player and as good as a re-tooling gets at point-guard. Just was still holding out that Kyrie would come back till today.
Personally, I chose to put no stock in the vast media swirl of Kyrie leaving for the last 7 months. No stock in his resting bitch face on the bench, his awkward post-game interviews, his former colleagues saying he didn't want to extend. I thought dude was locked in and it was all noise. I was still to a small degree expecting him to come back and commit. NowI'm ready to throw in the towel, however late that may be. Bummer. Kyrie is pure artistry, like the Messi or Cazorla of the game. Was hoping to see him create a Celtics legacy (championship or not). Similar vibes to when Van Persie left Arsenal. He would have been adored. End rant.
Re tool it is. Too much promise to look back.
