I'm one of those people. When I look back at Juve's old logo now it looks about as cartoonish as our current one.
The old crest that Arsenal replaced wasn't that great either - the single cannon is by far the best design but also, like Qs said, impossible to copyright.
Perhaps the old art deco style with a cannon would be the best way forward.

Like Jones said it did look better with only one color. Maybe the wreath we had that season would be a bit much for being part of the logo, but even without that it would be better than now and would look cleaner on the shirts.
I remember there being a negative reception for the laurel wreath, our eyes are easily offended 😆

To me these are our passable kits of the time period, all other kits have been bastardized to varying degrees.
That 10/11 kit is a beauty. But I feel like our kits going back into the 80s were largely with red socks. The white works on that kit but seems off from a tradition standpoint
We should have kept the redcurrant that was supposed to be the original Woolwich colour.
Agree - also a unique colour too. The away kit that season was decent as well.

Agreed, that one was Nike’s best attempt at a modern time no-nonsense Arsenal kit. I really like it.
The crest on the 10/11 kit is incongruously big. Looks as if it wants to be in the centre but got shoved to the upper right.
88/89 home is head and shoulders our best kit to date.

Have fond memories of 02-04 kit too but when you wear it the cutting is just awful and the collar is too tight. Ugliest is easily 18-19 and 09-10. Most pure kit is 78-81 but it doesn't even look like a jersey and way beyond my time.

I find that a lot of our 3rd kits are way nicer than our away kits.
I always loved the Dreamcast shirt personally. It's probably my second favourite after the redcurrant. There was a lot of depth in that red colour. Also one of few shirts we've had in the last two decades with a decent collar.
The golden away shirt was really nice too. We've never had anything like it since.
