Looks fake and ugly to me, the kind of thing I'd find in my dad's old clothes from the 70s or 80s, not a fan, maybe looks better in person.

Yeah. But it probably wouldn't look like a crest and I imagine it might cause other problems marketing wise.

I like Jones suggestion, the 11/12 crest was really good on many variants of jerseys.

My favourite jersey is still the redcurrent one though, favourite red and white will be the one before that. 04/05. Pretty much unbeatable

yeah the crest never looks good on anything. The monochrome version is a bit better but not by much.

IMO crests are best as modern logos or full-blown heraldry and not some awful mish-mash between.

The logotype on our crest is a total joke btw, with the weird arching / perspective effect.

edit: that said there's a lot of shit crests in the PL. Wolves logo / crest is best by a country mile.

Their target market is getting new fans. So 5-10 year olds so it looks a bit like a cartoon.

That old canon would probably fail versus the new canon in focus groups. Cos you know, cash Moolah. New badge says we are modern and clearly says we are Arsenal for those who can’t make the logical leap from a canon to Arsenal. But look at how beautiful that old kit is! Classy.

The 71 top and the 79 FA Cup top have become staple working from home attire for me. Not sure that'll be allowed to continue whenever I return to the office.

I like both those rumoured designs. I don't know if it's a bad photo but the first design looks like it has a bit of room for improvement but could be a real classic, whereas the second looks very sleek and modern.

This was the first year in easily over ten years I've owned the home and away kits for playing football in, and look what's happened. Won't be buying any new ones for next season.

Out of curiosity, how was the reception in 2002 when the new logo was revealed? Would've been a disaster today with Twitter and Facebook.

I don't remember a lot of uproar. Obviously the usual bit of giving out but its easier to do these things when times are good too. When we were one of the best teams on the planet and with a bright future of a new stadium coming, etc it sort of made sense. The crest is very of that time too so it didn't look as bad as it does now.

It's comical right now. Looks like it was made for MLS. Basically created in anticipation of Kroenke.

Just realised the 2nd photo don't have the 3 adidas stripes at the top. Don't look real.

People thought the Juve new logo is a disaster too but 1 year later everyone loves it. And it's a dream to make merchandises with it.
