Di Maria was definitely a flop. I don't think anyone who supported Arsenal expected Sanchez to be anything else there either. We knew he was washed up. Pogba has been a success for them though, even if he gets a lot of flack. Just look at how important he is. He tops virtually every good midfield statistic. He's at the heart of the little they produce. If they had signed more players closer to his level last summer they wouldn't be in this situation, but instead they signed... Fred.
Agreed.
And Shaw is a good player, in my opinion. He won their player of the season. People still think of him as the player that was poor for a long while after the bad leg break.
Di Maria is exactly what I'm talking about. He's a good player (a bit overrated but still good imo), but the Premier League was never for him. He was a prime candidate to flop. There are aspects to his game that screamed a drop in level when he came to the Premier League.
And United got exactly what they signed in Sanchez. He was exactly the same here in his last 6 months, but some fans mistakenly thought it was because he wasn't trying. Lots of us on here, most of us infact, knew his legs had gone and he was done.
I'll be surprised if Wan-Bissaka and Maguire aren't two of the best in their positions next season. You can never be 100% sure, but I can't see any reason they won't be. Also, it's not like the competition is that hot in those positions when you look around the League.
