Why shouldn't they? No matter what he realized about other players' salaries he has no reason to throw a fit.

I don't know much about the Rabiot and PSG situation but I would like to point out that your employer publicly smearing you after you react negatively to finding out that your employer fucking you over is, in fact, bad.

Southampton sold Matt Targett for 14m. And people think we should accept an 18m bid for Chambers lol. Way off current valuations.
Not only in regards to price but currently we lack a RB for the start of the season.
I'd play Chambers as an inverted RB alongside the deepest CM. If we sign a genuine wide attacking player for the right then he doesn't need to get forward to overlap, and Tierney can do so on the left.
So we have an option to re-sign at the same price or we get 30% of the signing fee thought to be somewhere between 10-15mE. Think I'd rather have the player than 3-5mE.
mentalvortex wrote:From what I have read PSG are no saints themselves in this whole Rabiot deal.
The previous sporting director, Henrique tried to portray Rabiot as being too greedy when Rabiot threw a fit after realizing that he was being paid in the same bracket as Choupo-moting and other bench warmers at PSG.
The bloke was partying with Evra and co after United beat PSG whilst still being on PSG's payroll. I'd steer well clear.
From a PSG fan:
In 2008, Rabiot was signed to the Manchester City academy on a six year deal that should have seen him turn professional when he turned 17. But six months after signing, the deal is killed because Rabiot’s mom became angry at the club’s “treatment of her boy”.
He then joins PSG and Laurent Blanc tried to gradually develop him.
In 2013 Rabiot and his mom grew impatient and he is sent on loan to Toulouse to earn more playing time.
After Rabiot returns to PSG from loan, Laurent Blanc Blanc begins to start him in 1 of 2.5 games at the beginning of the season. In the middle of the second half of the season, Rabiot’s mom threatens that his son will attempt to leave the club if he is not given more playing time with Matuidi, Verrati, Thiago motta and Pastore in the squad. As a result Laurent Blanc starts him in more games.
In 2015, towards the end of the season before Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract is about to run out, Rabiot and Zlatan get into a fight at the training centre in Paris.
While Thiago Motta was getting old and eventually was unable to play at a high level, he was replaced by Rabiot as a defensive midfielder in important games. He played very well at this position and fans grew excited as they thought they had found the perfect replacement. Instead of serving his club by playing in whatever position that would help the team win games, he and his mom complained to the coach and president that this was not the role he wanted to have at the club as he wanted a more sexy type of style in games and attack instead of defending.
The President of PSG, Nasser Al Khelaifi, appears to be a big fan of Rabiot, regardless of the shit he and his mother give him, he has always said he sees Rabiot as a son and has even gone to treat him as the favorite of the team. Perhaps this was just to keep the Rabiot family happy and to make the mom shut up but it definitely didn’t stop them from complaining.
In 2018, Didier Deschamps picks his World Cup squad for the French National team and picks Rabiot to be in the reserves meaning he would be picked into the first team if a midfielder had gotten injured. Rabiot who had only played 5-6 games with France with a performance lower than what it usually is at his club, feels insulted that he is put on the reserves and requests that he is removed from it right away. Deschamps states that Adrien made “a big mistake” by making this decision and he missed out on possibly wining the World Cup and might never be considered for the French national team again.
PSG sold Matuidi to give Rabiot a chance to grow. He stalls contract talks and makes it seem like he does want to stay, the club meets his demands even though he seems to think he deserves to have the salary of Messi.
Him and Ben Arfa are definitely on my shit list. I don’t ever want to hear about these two or see them on a screen in my life again.
Let Barcelona have him. If they think they’re getting back at us for Neymar, they are in for a treat.
Wow, that's some list of wrong doings. I don't care if he was Messi, with that type of attitude he just could never be worth it.
If he's such a turd I don't understand why the PSG ultras haven't hounded him out of the club as yet.
Milan, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Lyon, Lille, Porto among the clubs keen on France U21 forward Jeff Reine-Adelaide. Angers prepared to sell but not for less than €20m. Arsenal, who sold for €1.5m a year ago, would get just 10% of resale (@OuestFrance)
I can't believe we only put in a 10% sell on clause when we sold him for 1.5m, making a 500k loss already from the amount we bought him. It's ridiculous how incompetent the people running the club is. I don't mind us investing big in youth and if it doesn't work out sell them for good fees. We are the only club who sell all our youth prospects for peanuts and don't insert a buyback clause or good sell on fee.
Bennacer moving to Fiorentina for 15m as well, not sure if we have anything to gain from that deal.

We do. Papers saying we have a 30%.

I blame AW.
Ofcourse, he obviously had something ethically against a sell on clause.
We also have a 10% clause on the Jeff. So, yes, Arsene was allergic to sell-on clauses.
Didn't we get like 15 million from Spurs for David Bentley?
PSG was obliged to sell at least €60M worth of players by June 30th as part of the FFP settlement between PSG and UEFA or they would face FFP sanctions

They have succeeded in reaching the amount needed over the last 3 weeks:
• €22M (Giovanni Lo Celso to Real Betis)
• €15M (Moussa Diaby to Bayer Leverkusen)
• €12,50M (Grzegorz Krychowiak to Lokomotiv Moscow)
• €10M (Timothy Weah to LOSC Lille)
• €1M (Gaitan Robail to RC Lens)
Adding €15M for Nkunku takes them clear to break the rules again like they did last year and the year before.

We extracted money from Real Sociedad for Carlos Vela as well.
Seems like we'll get 30 percent on Özyakup too, and we just got a bit for Bennacer. And we got £5 million for Cesc when he went to Chelsea.
But aside from those multiple examples, what have the romans ever done for us?
Ozyakup became a free agent and re-signed so not sure if that is now void.
Celta Vigo have confirmed the permanent signing of Denis Suárez from Barcelona on a four-year deal for a reported fee worth €15m.
Guardian reporting Spurs agree fee for N'domebele
Rashford given a 300k/pw contract. For a guy that's done nothing in football that's mad money
Wish they’d take Ozil. They have more dollars than sense
Juventus seem to have signed Rabiot on a free transfer.
They have also signed Luca Pellegrini, the young Roma left back in swap deal with Spinazzola going the other way.

The kings of free transfers
Ismaël Bennacer reportedly not interested in move to Fiorentina despite them agreeing a deal with Empoli; wants European football (Arsenal have first option & sell-on clause)
So Bennacer said no to Fiorentina, so we might not make money on him, yet....
He is killing it at the African Cup right now. Good little player.

Official: Godin has signed for Inter
esSports: World's champion Griezmann to Barca is now a matter of hours. It's expected that Barca will officially announce the signing in the next few hours.
[Official] Juventus announce they have sold Leonardo Spinazzola to Roma for €29.5m, while purchasing Luca Pellegrini for €22m
Everton are pushing hard to sign Barcelona’s Malcom. Barca are asking 36mil, Everton want a fee closer to 30mil

Seen the question raised as to how do we replace Rambo in midfield - Bennacer may not have his full skills as yet but the reports are he has technique and the tenacity and dynamic impact to go with it.
What are Juventus planning to do with all these midfielders?
Jed wrote:What are Juventus planning to do with all these midfielders?
352?
@ HomeSteak
For 36m I'd hope we'd be in for a piece of that action - would be a huge coup for Everton if they got this over the line & shows the financial power of the PL outside the top6.
Loan and 36m next season for Malcom would be ideal. Raul needs to have a chat with his mates.
Being reported that Ndombele to Spurs a done deal for €72m, great signing if true.
Expensive. Waiting to see what the Eriksen situation is. It’s a very different team with Ndombele AND Eriksen versus just Ndombele
Jed wrote:What are Juventus planning to do with all these midfielders?
Only guy they have right now who's good enough is Pjanic, and he's turning 30. Bentancour could be huge if he's given a chance to develop too. They're probably gonna chuck the rest of them though. They're either old (Khedira, Matuidi) or a bit useless (Can). Same as their centrebacks really. Before this summer they were getting dangerously close to the point where United were after Ferguson retired.
Claudius wrote:Expensive. Waiting to see what the Eriksen situation is. It’s a very different team with Ndombele AND Eriksen versus just Ndombele
I guarantee you after 1 season of watching him you will say 72m is dirt cheap for him.
Regarding Rabiot (check the followup tweets too) (use deepl.com for those who dont speak frog)

I can't wait for his mum to fuck everyone's whole shit up. Juve are like the bloke who starts out as the affair and then acts all surprised when their new found eternal love fucks away on first chance.
Why’s he still rolling with this woman? All his messed up stories start with his mommy
Makes me feel better about missing out. His charge sheet is more appropriate for a Ronaldinho level talent.
United have bid £70m for Harry Maguire
The funniest bit is Leicester think that falls short.
I wouldn't want Maguire here full stop.
A lot of money or not, Maguire will improve them. He's much better than anything else they have at centrehalf. The same with Wan-Bissaka: Expensivre, yes, but hugely superior to Ashley Young etc.

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear.
That's a kick in the teeth right there.

I'm not sure if Maguire is better than Lindelöf but they'll have a class defence with these signings for sure, probably comparable to City and Liverpool on the whole. Strong improvement from last year when they were even worse than us. I don't like them spending their money this way. I much preferred it when they wasted their funds on player that made no sense.
