I think you'll see Modric slowly phased out this season....could rotate for Kroos (inverted triangle) or Isco as need be.

Also, has Vinicius played on the right at all?

What’s on their bench these days?

Navas, Marcelo, Nacho, Militao, Ceballos, Vazquez, Asensio, Bale, Benzema.

You imagine some of the above will be on their way though.

Can play right or left. Massive talent.

Yeah, I'm a fan and enjoyed watching him rip Barca last year. Just haven't seen him on the right....

Not if Hudson-Odoi fulfills his ridiculous potential.

He'll have to overvome a ruptured Achilles tendon first. Not that I think his potential is anything like as high as you do to begin with.

Massive loss for Chelsea, honestly think they'd probably have finished behind Man Utd without him this season. Selling them puts them down a level. They have signed Pulisic so lets see how well he settles

If their transfer ban is upheld they are going to struggle to replace his goals and assists as he carried their attack with double the goals and assists of the next best for each (being Pedro & Willian) = can't wait.

Perfect. Hopefully, they bring Lampard in, not a straight swap for Allegri.

Di marzi reporting that Conte & Inter have told Icardi he's not needed despite the latter wanting to stay.

Even the most prolific a goalscorer isn't that indispensable I guess when he and his wife constantly create problems within the squad.

He shouldn’t be worried. A promising career in modeling awaits

Manchester United have made "a substantial bid" for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky sources.

Daniel James for 15m is a really good signing IMO. We should be picking up smart signings like this from lower division if we are skint.

They don’t have a galactico level player. De Bruyne is butter but doesn’t sit at high table with Neymar, Mbappe and co. This gives Pep an opportunity to have a likely galactico. He better than anyone knows the difference this makes

Scary to think City are not in their final form.

Personally I thought Hazard would have been the perfect signing, but seems he had his heart set on Real.

😆  ouch

Lol. It’s true though. In the Premier League, you can create a stable system built on lots of high quality players that just beasts through a 38 game season by constantly outperforming the bottom 15 teams. When you get to Champions League, however, and the opponents are all really strong, then it helps to have a galactico who can rise above the deadlock with a moment of brilliance. Every advantage counts here. You have one chance, or Spurs knocks you out and all your hard work is undone

He has incredible speed. One of the fastest players out there: https://streamja.com/v5e5

Could be a massive bargain for them if he has more consistent end product.

I would argue that Aguero is every bit that type of player.

Surprised at how much Real paid for Hazard considering he's going to be 29 in 7 months.

They've been locked out of winning the title for several years. The AMs who are noticeably better than him (Neymar and Mbappe) would cost double up-front. Beyond that, AMs of that class are in short supply. You need to go down a level to the Pepe and Sane class.

Hazard screams more like Kaka than he does C. Ronaldo. Left it a little too late. Think he will be quite underwhelming there.

Hazard will kill it there. He's never going to get Ronaldo numbers - that man is a mutant. But he will be a massive upgrade on whatever is happening there right now. Will be a solid 20-8 player, which will be great if their new striker hits the ground running as well.

Not sure about Hazard either. He'll probably produce in his first six months to show off, but the bloke is fundamentally a bullshit player. His mentality is sorely lacking. He'll throw a hissy fit after a while and stop playing. He was one of the main reasons the chavs were heading for relegation the season Mourinho got fired. Chelsea was the sort of club that enables players like that, and now he's moving to another one in Real Madrid. He's slowing down soon and I bet these problems are going to surface once more when the going gets tough. I really can't see him staying his entire four-year contract.

A lot of his down production is due to downing tools though, not due to a fundamental ability to turn it on for long periods like Mkhi and Ozil. You are correct that this Pogba-esque moodiness is an issue. However, if things are right with Zidane and the team, I think he has a grand time.

and they still have to go through messi anyways

A Messi with a sub-standard coach, but some midfield reinforcement. Should be interesting

Hazard penalties aside must have scored a similar haul to what Alexis did in 3 1/2 years here.

Jovic looks a good signing.

Bruno Fernandes United rumor. Not sure what to believe with United because obviously their fans drive so much web traffic, but one things for sure - the numbers being thrown around suggest that the new Premier League deal is going to have a big impact on the transfer market. We could see another step change in fees this summer. Just look for the median players. Bruno Fernandes feels like your typical 50m pound Manchester City transfer. 70m is a different ballgame.

Won't be as marked for us as we are playing in the speculators and bargain hunters end of the spectrum. There, the impacts shouldn't be as crazy, I hope. As long as we are smart.

I think it's unfair to call it Pogba-esque. Pogba has been flakey for United but he was brilliant for years on end in Italy. I've never seen Hazard reach either that kind of consistency or that high level of football.

I agree that Hazard hasn't reached that kind of consistency but he's definitely reached that high level of football. Hazard's peak is much higher than what Pogba showed at Juve, he wasn't their best midfielder when he was sold.

He wasn't, but I think all four Juve midfielders back then were playing at a significantly higher level than Hazard. He's a very good player, but for me he has never reached the top tier.
