We probably haven’t had players nominated very much in the past decade or so since we’ve been so crud.

His finishing this season has been questionable, amd yet he's top scorer with a goal every 70 minutes.

He misses some easy chances, but then scores some incredibly difficult ones to make up for it. He's only finished one season in England below his xG.

In fairness Man City, particularly under Pep, prioritises goals from all over the team. On top of that Pep is forever rotating his team - particularly at the start when Aguero was a less rounded player - and that probably cost Aguero a few easy goals every season that could have secured him another Golden Boot. I think the fact that he averages nearly a goal a game suggests that the lack of golden boots is just down to a bit of bad luck.

Auba is ridiculously prolific though, on a different level.

Have to say the chance conversion rate surprised me - I guess missing a sitter sticks in your head longer than you think.

Absolutely not surprised to see Harry Kane nowhere near that list though.

This is all shots, on/off target. Now imagine Aubameyang able to play solely at CF on an offence that is able to generate more shooting opportunities. Fucking Chelsea is cranking out over 10% more shots than us. That's material

Every time I talk to fans from other teams, I actually need to spend a fair amount of time convincing them that Aubameyang is not just very good, he is elite. Opposing fans can't see him in this stagnant offence.
