Took a while but that 1 pound that Wenger throw Liverpool's way finally paid off, and we got Suarez.

Also Barca took the article down...

Because we are not ready to announce yet. 18m pounds is a decent fee if he is good

Unless I'm missing something in his game, I don't think he'll offer much between now and the end of the season. But, for £2m there's no downside. Provided the club don't just end up signing him regardless in the summer. He should have to really earn it by making a difference in the remainder of the season. I'm skeptical that this will happen though. I reckon he could be rubbish and the club would still sign him.

By Emery's previous comments, I suppose I should assume he's not, in fact, a replacement for Ramsey, but another option in the wide area. He looks like he lacks the pace, athleticism and goal threat to be any more useful than Iwobi and Mkhitaryan out there. As I said in his transfer thread, I see a lot of Samir Nasri in him. And the same problem, for me, follows: does he have enough in his game to really excel either out wide or as part of a midfield 3? Don't see that he does. Probably best suited to wide in a 4 man midfield but in the 4,738 different formations Emery has played this season, he hasn't played that.

Anyway, let's see what he's got. Welcome Denis!

This pretty much covers exactly how I feel about him.

Lol at 4000 formations. We are going 442 baby.
Suarez and Iwobi scrambling either side. Lacazette and Auba actually playing as strikers.
And 2 of Torreira, Xhaka and Guendouzi in the center.
Emery’s bringing sexy back.

The last time we signed a Denis....

... was Clapton, who played only 4 professional games in the 60s. Hope this turns out better.

I’m thinking he’ll play wide right in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-2-2-2, and in either formation I think we’ll continue to struggle on the right flank without Bellerin. Perhaps his ability to go past a mark will enable him to create from out wide and enable our RB to be more defensive.

I don't see the negatives. The ball will actually stick to this guy and he won't be making sloppy short/medium passes like Ozil, Ramsey and Mkhitaryan so often do.

The Spanish Beardless Ramsey.

Excited to see him. He may not be elite but his ability with the ball will improve our play

I hope he'll prove to be a good buy. We could use a bit of positivity right now.

Ironic post given you contribute to the negatively when the likes of you and Gurgen bash our manager every 5 mins.

I meant, and I thought this was obvious to everyone, that the team could use a bit of positivity. Who the hell cares about fans on an Internet forum? They have nothing to do with where we finish in the table.
