The commentary right now is disappointing. The CNN panel is saying that Biden should be concillatory and seek to make Republican voices central.
In a country where the political infrastructure (electoral college, senate map) is consistently pushing the politics right, it is up to Biden to be a balancing force by advocating for his party and pushing the progressive agenda.
The most disappointing voice here is Dave Axelrod who worked under Obama, and saw his President suffer on both healthcare and judges. Obama came with a medicare for all plan that was shot down by his own party because they expected Republicans to reject it. And then Mitch McConnell refused to fill his Supreme Court and circuit judges leading to Trump appointing 3 justices and a record number of judges.
What Biden needs to do is advance the progressive agenda (which actually aligns exactly with the grievances of the "forgotten man"), and involve Republicans closely only in a 'consulted' capacity.
