Sorry Tone, I posted that while I was on my phone.

It's been a wild offseason of NFL drama. HBO has a show that tries to give viewers an inside look into an NFL franchise and the Raiders were the featured team. I guess it didn't really scratch the surface of this drama.

the show is heavily edited by the team/league, it seems, so they chose to omit most of the drama.

supposedly brown made a big apology at practice today. probably because there is language in his contract allowing the raiders to void his guaranteed money due to conduct detrimental to the team. the thought of potentially losing $30m is enough to make anyone emotional and re-consider their options

Gruden is crazier than Antonio Brown at this point. Mdgoonah is correct about the nature of this apology, this is someone who woke up with a realization they may have set fire to $30m. He'll play well on Sunday I have no doubt but it's not a question of it but when the next meltdown is coming. All the football related craziness aside, let's not forget this guy was chucking furniture out his high rise apartment window during an argument and barely missed a one year old. He's lucky he's not locked up for manslaughter.

Brown posted a private letter that the GM Mike Mayock sent to him detailing the fines.

It was Brown who then confronted Mayock about this, which then caused that confrontation, threat of suspension (which would've voided his $30m guaranteed salary), then the apology, and now the coach saying that he can play on Monday.

looks like i called it. the raiders voided all of his gauranteed money, converted his contract to week to week, and now hes asking to be released and saying he wont play for them.

I think there might be something wrong with AB, he needs to get some help. It doesn't seem like he wants to play football anymore.
