Emery doesn't deserve to get sacked: He should have the summer to move the massive quantity of dross out of the club and get his own players in.
That said, I'm pretty well convinced the man is not a special manager and does not have the intelligence and vision to build a great team, even if given the resources necessary to do so.
It would be harsh to sack him, but if I were in charge, I would.
This is the correct answer.
Emery has been sold a dummy, he comes into a team with no wingers (which we all have been saying for years) which is unheard of for any top team. No cb’s with any pace, with makes it hard to push up, no commanding cb for when we sit deep 😆
No real ball winner, Torreira has shown real promise, but is still learning. Plus we are totally devoid of creativity and ideas if it doesn’t come from Ozil.
Not to mention the fullback situation.
In another world, you would say “let’s give the manager a chance over the summer to get in who he likes”.
Unfortunately we do not have the luxury of time to make this decision. Man City and Liverpool currently look like they are from another planet, Tottenham
may well get a cash injection this summer before the repayment kicks in, Chelsea and Man United always spend a lot.
So Arsenal may well be forced into being proactive and get in a manager who suits the vision of the club.
The vision; remembering that Emery was a byproduct from Sanllehi , Gazidis and Mislintat, and both men in the latter are now gone. Sanllehi was only at the club for a few months. If Sanllehi is anything of his Barca past, then the decision would be easy, Emery would be gone.
This is about where we should be as a club, and our vision going forward, than a critical analysis of Emery.
