My concern is what happens if we don't shift Mkhitaryin or Ozil?

Carrying those two and Carrasco feels like a huge gamble. How many of them are going to come good next season, and actually bump our level of play up a notch? If at least two don't have good seasons we're looking at some £600k per week down the drain.

Prior to his move to China he was one of the bright young things on the scene, but has since lost his allure whilst being out of the public eye. In many ways he needs this transfer to work more than we do if he is to realise his talent at both club and international levels.

Clearly a gamble, but probably one worth taking. If his wages aren't sky high (around 100k or so), should be able to recover at least half of our money in a year or two even if it flops.

Yeah. Hopefully, we can seal this quickly before some other wise ass slips in and takes him. 25m pounds is reasonable.
Next we need to break up the Andersen deal so we only get Praet, so we can go after one of those tasty young French centre backs.

Signing Carrasco and Gabriel Martinelli would have the wings sorted (plus Nelson coming back). Focus all our energy afterwards on fixing this defence.

Martinelli is playing in the low divisions of brazilian football. He won't be near the first team next season other than some cup cameos
