Agree with the overall sentiment but I don't think Guendouzi played at #10, he was pretty clearly told by Emery to stick to the left wing, not as a left winger but as a LM/LCM hybrid. Thought it was a good idea since it served to take him out of the dirty midfield battle where he still was too naive at times and of course it allowed him to use his full passing range by going infield which led to the goal.
If the general reports of our current financial situation are accurate I would try and put the bulk of our remaining funds into a ball playing defender first especially considering injuries and age of the players we have there, then a dynamic attacking midfielder who's comfortable playing wide. Özil should be that man in theory but then again who knows what the deal is with him at the moment. I'm not going to speculate about him or the club lying about his injury but getting sidelined when you haven't played in a couple weeks, after those comments ahead of the Spurs game, without any external influence is worrying
