With the accumulation of games and injuries we are going to need to bring in fresh legs. I don’t think Emery is going to go with the “koscielny will be Like a new signing” route, at least I bloody hope not.

It’s crucial we bring in some quality players this January to maintain our push for T4.

If you could make two signings (we probably don’t have a budget for more than two), what positions would you choose to reinforce and why?

Yeah left back and winger do seem like priorities at the moment. Wouldn't argue against a CB either if Holding is out for an extended period.

Welbeck replacement i.e. a winger

There was some news today that we're definitely not giving him a new deal as well, so a winger is a must

A good versatile defender would be handy as well

Pavard, Ndombele and Ousmanne Dembele. The dream.

Lol

An upgrade on Mustafi and Iwobi/Mkhi

I’d bring in Callum Wilson as Welbeck’s replacement

Probably not possible in the winter, but what we should do:

Get Mustafi out and bring in a top CB.
Get Mhiki out and bring in a top winger.
Get Kolasinac out and bring in a LB.

We should get decent money for them 3, also lower the wage bill. Also wondering what's gonna happen to Ozil.

Would you change formation then? Can't see us spending that big on a 3rd choice striker or Wilson wanting to come here just to play cup games.

Eddie is fine as third choice. We just need to let him play.

Anyway, Kostas Manolas reportedly still has a €35 million buyout clause, and now Real Madrid are rumoured to be looking at him for January. He's easily as good as hype players like Koulibaly and Skriniar and costs a fraction of what they do.

That's who I'd look at if I were Arsenal. Everyone complains that there are no good defenders to be had in Europe, which is absolutely insane. You just need to actually sign them once in a while.

I think we should always line up with 2 goal scorers (Auba and Laca), so if he comes he could rotate with those two. There are loads of matches to play, injuries do happen, players sometimes need a breather etc so he'll get enough starts to keep him happy.

Wilson is a quality player but you'd think his price tag would be through the roof considering how good he's been this season.

Yep, it's not worth it for a third choice striker when we have so many other pressing gaps - if he keeps this up for another couple of months he'll be worth at least £50m-£60m.

There's also the issue of him overcoming two potentially career-ending knee injuries. Like with Danny there's always going to be the fear that the next knock could finish him.

Left back and central defender.
We conceded 4 goals against Spurs and United, and could quite easily find ourselves 0 points in those two games if it wasn’t for our strong attacking play. The Holding injury and Kolasinac’s defensive ineffectiveness are threats to our top 4 hopes
