i'm interested to know as well. auba at least has experience being a winger at the top level.

This has to be the sort of game where the entire defence really learns for the rest of time - when we score we concentrate even harder. I used to make a point of yelling it to my defence when I was a keeper, and I played at the lowest of low levels

I saw 100k on a free that's probably an alright deal. He'll have resale value before his contract is up. If we sold him in a couple of years we'd probably make most of it back.

Didn't Laca start off on the wings for Lyon? I think Lacazette is much more comfortable with his back to goal, bringing others into play and better at riding past challenges, the downside is that he's relatively slow but with good movement and training I think he should be fine there.

Let's face it neither are ideal out wide - none of the other big clubs would be willing to settle in such a way.

This has been written a million times. Wages are usually completely pure guesswork but how realistic does it seem to you that a bloke who had signed one professional contract extension in his life would be on 100k/120k after his second extension? And that's not even taking into account that he earned his move here in his last year and wasn't a nailed on starter when he signed the extension.

Missed the first half yesterday, we looked ok in the second though. Some disappointing performers on the day but overall thought we were clearly better than Man Utd. Two absolute sitters missed in the 2nd half and even though we didn't sustain it showed some good attacking play at times. I think with a better CM should have really controlled the game and pinned Man Utd back. Not saying much but one of our better performances there. At no point did I feel like Man Utd would nick this one, been a while since I've said that!

Goals conceded were so poor though, especially the 2nd. Kolasinac looked decent going forward but a bit of a mess at the back. So disappointing to concede both just after going ahead.

4 points from Spurs and United is a very good return, bank that and walk away regardless of the performances. But leading up to Christmas we cannot sustain this sort of form with our best players out.

Watching back at the match, I thought AMN would have a better game than Guendouzi. We had ample of space in the midfield for someone powerful to run and break through like AMN. Really missed Xhaka though, his long ball would have bullied Diolot and Darmian so much. The way we play with 3 at the back makes Xhaka so influential and undroppable for us.

Was highly critical of Mkhi in real time but thought he was quite good surprisingly when you rewatch it. Certainly much better than Iwobi and Ramsey in the first half and actually created plenty of dangerous opportunity for us. His assist for Lacazette goal was intelligent.

Auba miss was worse than Mkhi to be fair. The ball to him was easier to score. Sokratis was disappointingly weak in the 2nd goal although fact is Kolasinac is still braindead

It’s too soon for me to rewatch their second goal. Most disappointed in the team I’ve been in a while. I really thought yesterday was a big opportunity to take a big step forward. Winning at OT so soon after winning a NLD would have been massive for the group and the fans.

If we had managed to weather the 5-10 minute storm after either of our goals I think we would’ve cruised to a pretty easy win. The fact we had already fallen asleep for their first goal should have made us conscious of not letting them straight back into it. I can’t understand how we let it happen again. Infuriating.

I thought the point of getting the likes of Lichtsteiner was to help us out in those sort of situations with their experience but so far all Lichtsteiner has brought is his ability to wind up an opponent. 😆

In hindsight, this felt like one of those horrible FIFA games where you've done enough to win it but the AI scores ridiculous unrealistic goals right after you've taken the lead.
