We had a really poor game. We are very much a top 4 contender. It's just unfortunate we aren't as dominant at home as we were last season and it may cost us.

Emery is getting more out of some individuals but he is also getting a lot less out of one of the best forwards in the world.

We've only lost 2 (to teams in the top 3) and we've demolished a few teams. Couldn't say the same about last season. We are definitely better so far.

Easily. Keep in mind we were on a downward slope last couple seasons. This is still early days.

Very poor performance all round. However the results against palace and wolves aren't too strange to me as even in the great run I wasn't convinced about how we were winning those games. We still have away too many chances and relied on the opposition wasting them and us having a great blitz second half.

I think we have improved bit the squad is still poor especially defensively so you can't escape that.

The aim is to get champions League football asap and it feels as if we have a shot at that this year.

We were poor today and arguably have been lucky to not have more results like this. But I find it difficult to be disheartened. We're not going to overcome Wenger's legacy overnight; there have been some positive signs but much more work still needs to be done. Let's see where we meet out come the end of the season.

Thoughts:

1) Leno MOM.
2) Our players look tired, perhaps Emery’s reliance on playing a strong team in Europa League is costing us? It’s essier to qualify for CL via the league than a cup competiton imo. Therefore, I think he has taken it a bit too seriously this season.
3) Laca and Auba are ‘just’ goalscorers, when the going gets tough it seems they offer little else in terms of creativity
4) Sead was diabolical. Made Monreal look like a peak Maldini.
5) The less said about Ozil the better. Shit teams at home is supposed to be his bread and butter. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has another disappearing act v Boutnemouth away.
6) Spurs at home is now a must must win. We don’t want this mini top 4 gap to grow larger.
7) We need to sign ideally a big player in Jan to ensure energy levels don’t drop
8) Last time around many argued that the International break came at the wrong time, this time round, it’s definitely come at the right time. Players need mental and physical rest.
9) Only positives are a) we are still undefeated (since August) and b) both Chelsea and Utd dropped points. C) Spurs Chelsea next game round so one or both of our direct rivals will drop points.
10) Man City will win the league. We don’t have to worry about gloating Liverpool, Chelsea or dare I say Spurs fans come the spring.

As much as it was a shite performance we still managed to stay in the game in order to gain a late point - not sure we would have done so in recent seasons.

didn't see this one, but i had hoped we had ridden our luck through the patchy early fixtures, and would come out the other side with more even-handed performances. doesn't quite seem to be the case

I think this is reaching to be honest. While there have been games where you could make the case for that kind of argument, yesterday certainly wasn't one of them.

Still haven't seen a good slow-mo replay but I'm pretty damn sure Leno got a fingertip on Morgan Gibbs-white's shot right at the end to tip it onto the crossbar.
