JazzG This guy was an absolute twat but for us who grew up watching wrestling probably one of if not the most iconic professional wrestler of all time.

It would be hard to explain to the kids just how stupidly huge a celebrity Hulk Hogan was in about 1985. Instantly recognisable across the whole world.

Burnwinter Yup, one of those people who transcended the sport. A bit like how Michael Jordan did for basketball. I remember in the late 90s at school hardly anyone watched the NBA but everyone knew who Jordan was, Hogan was like that for wrestling. I only started watching wrestling after WM6 so arguably missed his absolute peak. His popularity made pro wrestling as big as it is today. Went to WCW and his turning bad and forming the nWo put them on the map as well.

Stone cold probably peaked higher from a pure wrestling point of view but Hogan did it for much longer period and along with McMahon took pro wrestling from a local sport into an international phenomenon.

The EU can't pivot to China for goods - the latter has already outflanked the EU's automobile industry and it's only a matter of time before they dominate high tech manufacturing too.

There's only one consumer market that can absorb the EU's surplus.
