Denilson has been shocking, Diaby only slightly better if at all.

Arshavin looks the most dangerous player simply because he has the vision to play the right balls.

Wilshere in Cesc's position i. e. behind the striker is not working. He has not played there enough and he isn't finding space like he should. He needs to be seeing much more of the ball but he isn't nor is Nasri in my opinion.

I know the match thread isn't the place to say this, but, Diaby and Denilson have no business being at Arsenal next season. Ramsey has got to come on at some point.

Djourou has been fantastic, easily our best defender. Koscielny looks a little shaky here and there, and whilst Clichy has been good going forward, he's had 3 or 4 very poor moments. Sagna's crossing has been disappointing today.

Jack's showing moments of class, very much like a Fabregas performance when he's playing with a poor midfield behind him, and a lack of movement up front. Bendtner looks rally focussed but the quality just isn't quite there. Arshavin has been Arshavin - in and out. Nasri's had some good runs, but he's not doing enough in the final third/in front of goal.

Just find a goal and win this, come on.

Diaby has been awful, but Denilson is on another level of shitness. One of them has to be replaced by Ramsey asap.

What is it with noname opposition goalkeepers having games of their lives at the Emirates? Ridiculous save from that Bendtner shot.

I'm afraid that these cunts will succeed in injuring Nasri and Wilshere.

Diaby and Denilson should fuck out the club. They haven't just been bad, they been actively fucking things up, to the point where they might be under scrutiny from interpol after the game if you follow me. Denilson hasn't won one 50-50 all game, and has generally given the ball away. Diaby has the awareness and speed of an aubergine. Sunderland's best attacks have ceom from pressuring these two clowns into coughing possession, and then breaking.

Everyone else has been solid, but the decision-making and movement in the final third isn't up to scratch, as one would expect with this line-up. We stil should've had at least 1 goal from that Nasri dribble, and Bendtners overhead kick.

Need big improvement, or keep playing shite and score a late, late winner (more likely)

I think we will find a way to score a goal.

We just need to keep a clean sheet somehow. Clichy had some very bad moments defending while he is looking to attack more today.

One of the two cental defenders needs to join the attack more. It can't be Denilson and if Diaby does it, it leaves the danger of a counter attack.

Sunderland have worked very hard though, they can't do it for 90 minutes and will tire. We just need to not fucking conceed.

I watched Jack closely in that half, he was finding space constantly, he just wasn't getting the ball.

disagree. wilshere's been decent, but cesc is far more influential on our game than jack has been in the first half. wilshere is struggling to get a hold of the ball in good positions. this is something which cesc is brilliant at, moving off the ball and taking up good positions.

Agree with that Kel. I don't feel the problem is with Wilshere in the first half, though. He just doesn't get the ball quickly enough which forces him to drop down to recover it himself. Same with Nasri. It's the inability of the central mids to do their job rather than his positioning off the ball. Denilson and Diaby have been doing sod all in the first half in the attacking end and their only telling contribution from a defensive viewpoint is the amount of attacks and corners that Denilson's sloppy passing has created for Sunderland.

The only change we need to make right away in the second half is to put Diaby closer to goal and let Wilshere play the role he's been playing the entire season. Give it fifteen minutes and if it still doesn't work - bring on Ramsey and tell Diaby to fuck off to the shower.

Denilson has been terrible. Diaby not much better. Why are they still at the club? 🙁

Nasri and Clichy have been our better players.

Wilshere and Bendtner haven't played well but look like they could fashion us a goal.

Worryingly, if the first 11 can't score a goal there's little on the bench to change things around. Ramsey for Denilson hopefully but brining in Chamakh and moving Bendtner out wide will be the kiss of death.

That heavens for Djourou's cool head and positioning.
We are being handicapped by Denilson and Diaby in MF.
Bring Ramsey on before Denilson costs us.
Nasri started to threaten more as the half wore on, he needs to take on that responsibility more.
Arshavin faded after starting well.
Bendtner needs to stay in the box.
Wilshere had some great moments, lovely ball for that good shot from Bendtner.
Sczcesny showing no signs of post CC suffering and Kos looks ok too.
Need to keep our wits about us at the back, keep the ball better and hope for something extra from Arshavin, Nasri or Bendtner.
And again.... lose Denilson and bring Ramsey on.

klaus, denilson needs to come off at half time. he has been terrible in the first half.

Wilshere as creative fulcrum isn't quite working either, he's more effective bursting from deep to open up the play. That's not to say he's been poor, but he doesn't find those pockets of space like Cesc can. His 'see-and-pass' technique is nowhere near Cesc's level either. Unfortunately we'lll just have to make do.

I know i was a little harsh but that is because i am using Cesc as the benchmark. I just think Cesc is ridiculously good at it but i agree part of the blame lies elsewhere.

We need to fucking win this.

The amount of time Denilson and Diaby take to release the ball is astonishing. Honestly, we could get someone from Stoke who could do a better job.

I don't think Ramsey will come on in a match like this one.

Nasri may just go central as we need to keep more of the ball with Chamakh coming on for Denilson.

Ideally I'd agree. He shouldn't have been on the field. He's capable of moving the ball quickly though, which Diaby isn't. If Ramsey comes on I'd rather keep Denilson for all of his flaws. We need movement.

How sweet would it be if Ramsey scored a winning goal.

Wilshere has been 'okay', moments of quality but he isn't someone who can control a game like Fabregas could. However, if he gets a chance I am sure he'll take it.

That's because he's Cesc Fabregas, so others pass to him, and also because he has Jack or Song behind him giving him the ball early and crisply. I'm not saying Jack's as good as Cesc at playing that role, but watch him closely in the second half and you'll see how often he finds space brilliantly and is just ignored or unnoticed.

Sounds as though the game has panned out as I'd feared. Come on Arsenal
