Sorry, I'm nor sure I understand exacrly what you mean?

If you are asking what I think of Ajax, then I think they've got a couple of great players, a couple of others that are playing out of their skin, and a few steady heads doing a job.

They're not that good though. Really they're not. And I would not be shocked to see Tottenham, even without Kane, knock them out. Boy, I really hope that doesn't happen though.

Compared to an old and busted Milner and Henderson in midfield? and your favorite TAA in defense? and Origi and Shagiri in the front line?

Probably blasphemous to say, but Messi isn't as good as he was 5-6 years ago. He has lost a bit of pace. Still the best player in the world, but not the player he once was.

I think that's a non-controversial statement personally.

Even with that said, he still put two chances on a plate for Coutinho and Suarez. He was their only real threat and he had very little to work with.

Plenty of rave reviews about Robertson this season and rightly so, probably the best LB in europe at the moment but TAA's ability on the ball is pretty amazing for a 20 year old. Seen him spray crossfield passes around so many times this season like peak Xabi Alonso, with a Beckham esque crossing ability. Really unique skillset for a fullback

I suppose it doesn't always work that way on paper Ricky. We made one with Flamini, Senderos and Eboue in the back 4.

Yeah, I was really disappointed in his performance. Didn't touch the ball during the last ten minutes, which is appalling when you're chasing a goal.

TAA is a quality fullback. No hating. Quickly becoming the best attacking right back in league.

Even Emery doesn't know what his vision is of the team.

His go-to option for anything from midfield is Guendouzi.

The point is, when you're up against a Barcelona fielding the players I listed, Liverpool winning isn't so inexplicable.

They were at home, pumped by the atmosphere, against a team that has no speed to threaten on the counter, can't keep the ball in midfield anything like they once could and defend like turnips.

Put Pep in the dug-out, Alves and Puyol in the defence, Xavi and Iniesta in midfield, David Villa or Theirry Henry on the left wing, and 100% they ain't getting beat by Trent and his mates.

This is categorically not a great Barcelona team. They were knocked out by Roma after winning the first leg by 3 goals at the Camp Nou.

Football is just going through a trough at the top end and this Liverpool team is currently one of the best around in that environment.

TAA going forward is quality but defensively he is still suspect. What Klopp has organised is having someone working hard and covering the space he leaves behind. Something we have not been able to do for years due to defensive neglect.

Liverpool didn't really create anything did they? It was pure bully ball all through. Except I guess that xerdan cross for their third was decent.

It was all long ball and crossing from Liverpool. It was in the first leg too. But that's exactly how you get at this Barca team so I don't see that as a criticism.

It's a game of fine margins and the outcome heavily influences the impression of those watching.

Alexander-Arnold was all over the place in the first half. Alba was running into the space he kept leaving as he naively followed Coutinho short and inside. But Barca blew those chances and so no one remembers or cares. He was also almost non-existent on the overlap. He put in 3 crosses from open play all night: One took a big deflection and went straight to Wijnaldum: So some credit there. The other 2 were harmless and cleared.

I wouldn't take anything away from his brilliant quick corner. That was extraordinary, but that doesn't make you a good right back. And he's still far from being one in terms of his defensive positioning, one-v-one defending and ability to get up and down all game long: he doesn't have much of an engine and is not particularly quick.

But, hey, he takes corners and crosses well so he's amazing.

Hard to argue with a second straight final, Jones. Maybe the continental teams are at their weakest right now, but Pool is amongst the best in Europe
