Matip was absolutely outstanding and over the entire season his defending is almost as good as VVD. He came on a free transfer, it's possible if we are as smart as them.

What Klopp has done with Liverpool considering where they were before that is more impressive than Pep with City.

Fair play to Liverpool, they rode their luck at times in this game but second half Barca didn’t show up. Sickening to see them win games like this.

We spent the entire season hating on this Liverpool team but it's time we just hold our hands up and admit this is a phenomenal side we are watching. It's all cyclical. Neither City nor Liverpool, definitely not the latter will stay on top forever. Liverpool challenged under Rodgers, we did too in 2007/08, but this is their best side in 30 years. We were lucky ourselves to see an incredible Arsenal side, and a brand of football I don't think will ever be repeated, it was so good. We are a top club based a one off the best cities in the world. Our time will come again. Good night.

Messi was a flop tonight by the way. Very Ozilesque. Watched him pretty closely and any time he didn't receive the ball or Barca lost the ball he was walking. I mean literally walking as if he was on a stroll in the park. He had one or two good passes to the likes of Alba to put them through on goal but not good enough. The less said about the rest of the team the better.

There's no denying they are a quality side, but it's their insufferable fans and the Liverpool loving media that's gonna be difficult to deal with

Messi could have spent half the game on the touchline taking a dump, and it would be fair game.

He carried Barca through the first leg and his teammates returned the favour by bottling tonight.

Probably blasphemous to say, but Messi isn't as good as he was 5-6 years ago. He has lost a bit of pace. Still the best player in the world, but not the player he once was.
