Spurs need to get knocked out tomorrow. This nonsense cannot be allowed to go any further.

Ajax will do City's or Spurs defence. Whether they can win Barca is another story

Ajax have been incredible but I am sure Spurs will be dreaming of a possible final if they get through City.

Liverpool are a poor match up for Barca too in my opinion.

I wouldn't write off Liverpool against Barca. If they can find a way to contain Messi, Liverpool could go rampant on that Barcelona defence. Horrifying to think about.

Sensational result for Ajax. Juve were bloody awful though.

They never got on the ball. Started with such a strong frontline, and never fed it. That midfield was ineffective.

Yeah, technically they looked a poor side. Matuidi and Can have their strengths but they were made to look extremely ordinary tonight. Even Pjanic paled in comparison to his Ajax counterparts.

Van de Beek looks like he could be a really handy Ramsey replacement. Definitely one to watch.

Too bad there will be no Ronaldo Messi final, or may be it is good for the whole GOAT debate may have become reduced to one game of football.

only people who lack seriousness would approach this game as GOAT title decider.
UEFA would've loved it for the WWE-style fanfare it would generate though

Should have gotten rid of Allegri years ago, or better yet, never hired him at all. He has frequently come up short with one of their best generations ever. They've been good enough to win CL at least twice in the last few seasons and would probably have done it under someone else.

That's because of Ajax pressing, all 3 of their midfielders didn't give Juve time on the ball and keep winning it back. When they have it they stroke it around like prime Barca and Juve couldn't get near them.

I really admire a club like Ajax, every now and then there's a cream of the crop generation popping out from there.

3-0 Barca sounds like a comprehensive beating. That first Messi goal was 24 carat magic. Hopefully, this takes the wind out of their sales

Gollum looks like a sad ting.
Hopefully his tenure has more of this and less of PSG

"If Liverpool can find a way to make Barcelona look bad Liverpool could win"

2018/19 third treble in European football, calling it now

Let them contend with Messi. Did you see how he shook Fred for the first goal? Fred is probably still dizzy from that move.

United snuffed barca out in the first leg tbf. They're far from unbeatable, and the scousers have enough about them to cause them problems

I worry for Barca against Liverpool. Salah and Mane against that defensive structure is a disaster waiting to happen. Barca really need to starve Liverpool of the ball and give them as few opportunities to break as possible maximising their first leg home advantage by building a solid lead.

I usually dislike Barca but thoroughly enjoyed watching them dismantle United last night. May they go out and do the same against Liverpool in the next round.

Salary-wise, that entire Ajax teams earns less than Ronaldo (or a Messi or Neymar for that matter). Incredible to see. Just sad that by August, the European elite will have picked at them like buzzards.

And Barca. The things Messi did to Fred and Jones should be illegal. They'll have nightmares for weeks

So if Spurs do it today(I think they will, City will fuck it up as they always do in the CL), there is a big big chance that they will make the CL final... :ffs:

imagine being forced to support Liverpool in a champions league final

Ajax have just won away at Madrid and Juventus, comprehensively too. How do Spurs have a big big chance to get past them?

On the same basis that despite Ajax being the best team in the knockout stage so far, they're still not favorites to win the tournament.

Ajax are the typical underdog team that does well but flops come semi-final/final (See Leeds Utd in 2001,Monaco in 2004 and us two years later).

If Spurs go through today then they are two games away from winning the CL, that thought is unimaginable.

Only positive of Spurs going through today is that hopefully they will take their eye off the league and we can capitalise.

Having said that, I am still confident City will have too much for them.

How does Ajax "flops" when they are not given a chance to even make the semis? They are the first team to ever reach this stage and participate in 2 qualifying rounds at the beginning. No matter what they are already considered a success story. I mean think about this:

All they have done is add 2 experienced heads in Tadic and Blind and it transformed the team.

Some of their play, one touch football is a joy to watch. It was peak Barca football except that their passing is much more progressive and immature at times. I haven't seen that kind of passing by us for a long time since maybe 07-08, that nonchalant and daring pass through the lines. That was what we were lacking badly for example against Watford. 10 man and so many spaces to pass through the midfield but once they came close to us our first habit is to pass it back and sideways.

I remember when we used to play like this in every game. We even carved up Barca with some proper horseshit sides. Wenger was so damn good once.

Radio Raheem. What a strike.

Sterling almost playing like a right footed Messi at the moment.

City clowning around there. Awful by Laporte.

Fuck right the fuck off. What in the fucking hell was that?

frikkin hell, Citeh are absolute garbage

Arsenal-esque defending by City. Sumptuous strike by Son in fairness.

Jesus. Come on Ajax!

Bahahahahahahahaha this is a ridiculous game of soccer.
