I am still quite upset by what transpired over the last two days but I don't understand how so many are suddenly indifferent to Arsenal and feel no pride or love for the club unless it's just a reaction to the events.
I don't know about England and we as a club have never been loved by the media it seems there, but we were the model club for a decade and a half as we first had incredible success playing a kind of football which was never seen before nor has since in my opinion, and then moved stadiums but remained in the CL places.
We have been poorly run for the last 6 odd years and haven't modernized our football operations but organizations go through these cycles where they are ahead of the curve and then get overtaken when others catch up. Our demise has been overstated in my opinion. We don't have the riches of Manchester United a club that has fallen from grace but the two clubs that so many fawn over were shockingly run themselves for years.
Just look at some of the signings Liverpool made in the last 2 decades before Klopp or how Tottenham spent the bounty from Gareth Bale. They were poorly run for much longer than our current trough. I just hope this is our nadir and the only way is now upwards. Tottenham aren't some super club. This is probably their zenith and has come after 60 years. None of us would care as much I think if we had held on for 10 more minutes that evening in Paris 13 years back.
Liverpool probably don't even make the top 4 in 2016/17 if Wenger doesn't sabotage the club by holding back his decision on the contract extension. The uncertain period cost us not just 4th place but may be even 3rd as we finished just a point off Pool.
I am sure Arsenal will be back where it belongs soon.
