and yes winning in sports is all that matters. the losers can always look back at the things they did wrong that prevented them from winning.

Either way none of them got even close to winning the CL. In fact it was only when we put an 18yr old midget in our midfield that we finally got to a final.

Trust a dodgy ref to send off a Liverpool player early in the 1st half and for Liverpool to defend vigilantly afterwards but only for Son to fluke one in the last 5 minutes. They fluked their way out of their group, fluked it past City, fluked this one tonight and I'm afraid will do the same against Liverpool. Sickening

The biggest thing about both these clubs is 10 years ago they were all behind and we mocked them and talked about how they were obsessed with us doing poorly then them winning. But we had a board and manager who were complacent they stood still while other teams below us set higher ambitions and we accepted the status quo. They then overhauled us and we don't have a board who actually want to take this club to the next level. So now we are starting to act like a small club and our highlight becomes their failures. It's a really bad time and I think we must be the worst run club of the big teams.
