They play a steady state game, that sees very few lows, but also few highs unless they win a trophy. I'd imagine Atletio Madrid fans would struggle to name many "classic" games from the past few years that weren't games with a trophy on the line.

Fucking hell, they didn't score two goals in a game through all of last October and had 6 0-0 games last season.

They are not negative till the sense you have to dislike them in my opinion. For starters, they are much more positive than Mourinho in big games.

lemar, griezmann, and costa will all contribute goals this season. gabi has left and been replaced by a more progressive player in rodri. i wouldn't be surprised if they scored 75-80+ this season

Ooooo kaaaaaay

Don't know where to start there. What the fuckity fuck???

It'll be a wall to wall disaster.

They'll just lay down at the first sign of pressure

How about this then? I'm completely floored. Perhaps it helps players weave their way past defenders. Should be worn by Darius Tassell.

I don't think I'd buy it.

Yeah if they wear that in a match they'll definitely get walked all over!

Maybe, but a good sweeper keeper can limit the damage.

Usmanov should buy them.

Manolas was a disaster defensively for Roma, despite scoring the equalizer. Have to say I have a real soft spot for Florenzi.

Pastore's opener, though. Golazzo.

I would stay well clear of Manolas. Has been dodgy for years despite somehow being rated highly here.

Understandable decision. I think Southgate's treatment of Vardy has been a big mistake personally.

Liverpool also have Chelsea in the Carabao Cup. Hopefully, they find these next 4 months hard to navigate, and we can reel them in.

We have Brentford

Which to watch? Ronaldo-less Real Madrid or new look Juventus plus Ronaldo in the gutter league?

I alternated. Both games were good.
So glad to see that Benzema has rediscovered goal scoring. One of my favorite footballers. Hope he keeps it up. Interesting to see courtois on ahead of Uefa’s goalie of the year

Bloody hell. Korea beat japan. Spurs management must be drunk right now.

😆

Even for Quagliarelia standards, my word.

Di Maria scored directly from a corner kick in psg’s last game.

Mbappe’s control and finish at full pace was also quite stunning

That's amazing 😆

That's hilarious. Aren't they supposed to whisper instructions to each other?

That Quagliarella goal. My word!

Quagliarella Boom Boom.

One of my favourite strikers of all time. He's always been a tier or two below the elite, but every other goal he scores is completely outrageous.

Watching a bit of the bottom feeders of UEFA nations league: Armenia vs Liechtenstein. Our boy has missed a penalty but has found it easy to keep gliding through this Liechtenstein defense.

I’m glad they seeded the teams. Neither of these countries is very good. Let countries have more competitive games rather than 8-0 drubbings of San Marino.

Not a particularly interesting Germany France game. France goalie Areola has show great reflexes and leaping ability, making some excellent saves. Maybe they should bin the Spursy one. I’m watching Pogba and wondering how much he has developed in the last 4 years. As a kid he seemed to have limitless potential. This is another one of those games with many unnecessarily misplaced passes, insufficenient powering runs. I agree with Scholes who says he doesn’t understand his body and potential

Potential? The bloke has just come off the back of winning a World Cup with his country and scoring a goal in the final. If that is not meeting your potential then I don’t know what is.

Giroud also won that cup. And I'm happy to have either Lacazette or Aubameyang in his place.

I actually reckon Vidic would have been a bad fit for us. He wouldn't have acclimatised well under Wenger.

Rooting out what? All I see there is that Wenger passed on some players, and he's not there now.
