This is the only player who could beat his marker on a phone box. Slowly.

Poor man's Cazorla.

That's something very few could hope to be.

Of course Cazorla, Dinho, Messi, Neymar can dribble better but not slowly as i mentioned.
Riquelme maybe but he was a bit too long-limbed.
No need to see the replay of "mans" being cleanly beaten and resorting to hacks.

Who cares what Hleb is saying?

In what is becoming a fairly regular occurrence, Hleb told the media this week of his regrets leaving Arsenal for Barcelona and everything that came afterwards. Hleb’s current club BATE Borisov took on Chelsea on Thursday, though they slipped to a 3-1 defeat to the English club.

Now 37, Hleb admits he wishes he spent more time in the Premier League.

“Arsenal was fantastic, the greatest time of my life,” he said. “I love the club, the coaches, my friends. Unbelievable. Everything was a dream. It’s difficult to say why I left.

“Have I fulfilled my potential? No, I made a lot of mistakes. That’s why I am not 100 per cent happy with my career. Going to Barca was a tough call, but after that everything was a mistake. I lost my best years.”

“I enjoyed my life [with Arsenal], woke up with a smile, went to training and loved it. Cesc, [Mathieu] Flamini, [Tomas] Rosicky and Robin [van Persie] were my best friends. We were like brothers. We enjoyed each other’s company and knew automatically where each other would be on the pitch.”

Instead of remaining in that dream environment, Hleb joined Barcelona and struggled to rediscover his form. He went on loans to VfB Stuttgart, Birmingham City and Wolfsburg before leaving for Russian side PFC Krylia Sovetov Samara. Since then he’s moved to a number of different clubs, but none have satisfied him as Arsenal did.

The midfielder still follows how his former club are doing, and he gave an emphatically positive response when asked if Arsenal have any chance of challenging for the title.

“Of course,” he answered. “They start not good, but now like a rocket, they go up.”

Boo fucking hoo

Cmon, man has admitted his mistake. I have a lot of time for Hleb.

Bit hard not to admit it when his career went to absolute shit. Good enough for the shot shy, ice cream munching cunt.

He seems like a nice chap with humility, lacks the arrogance of others who've left like van Persie, Nasri and Adebayor. Makes him more palatable.

That being said, it's hard to forgive either him or Flamini for breaking up that side.

He's that guy who treats his ex like crap, breaks up, and then follows her around to harp on about how good they had it after his life goes down the toilet.

I really don't care about Hleb anymore, but I think it's embarrassing when he talks about Arsenal. I feel the same way about Robin van Persie. Let it go boys. No one cares and no one likes you anymore. We've all moved on. There's no legacy for you here.

I haven't forgiven him either, but I think it's much better to be honest and admit that he fucked up than be like Adebayor, who surely knows that his career basically was over after leaving us (which he was desperate to do), and still blames Arsenal and Wenger for everything bad that's happened since whenever he gets the chance.

Copa Libertadores final this year will be between Boca Juniors and River Plate. Last edition of the tourney with a two legged final, first game is on the 7th the second two weeks later.

In terms of entertainment this tourney is far better than the CL with all sorts of animals people or items entering the pitch, think of all the shithousery in Clasicos but on steroids, also the atmosphere is on a completely different. Can't be bothered these days to wake up for the games but this is the first time there's a Superclasico in the final of South America's prime tournament so I think I'll tune in for it.

Good shout jones -- any talent worth keeping an eye on?

Cristian Pavon.

New trove of football leaks being dropped this weekend

Exposes the overvalued sponsorship deals of city and psg, and how infantino and platini helped cover it up

Also alleges that sarkozy told the emir of qatar if he bought beinsport, he'd pull strings to give 2022 world cup to qatar

Reuters already has an article on it. Can't help noticing it's aimed at only the two oil clubs.

so you don't miss it.

Announcing the kick-off times on its Twitter account, CONMEBOL said both the first leg, at Boca's La Bombonera on Saturday Nov. 10, and the second leg, on Saturday Nov. 24, would begin at 16:00.

The games will be played on Saturdays because of a political summit in Buenos Aires. Initially, the matches were scheduled for Nov. 7 and 28, but Buenos Aires will host the G20 summit in the last week of the month.

yup. Would like to have seen something on the Chevy deal at United.

Why would the Chevy deal be dirty? General Motors trades on the NYSE. The management and directors can go to jail for dodgy deals. Why would they risk it over something so small?

I wrote a couple of posts on it during the time and there was some insightful article on Bloomberg or somewhere else too. The deal was 100% dodgy, the guy who closed it was brought in shortly before and fired immediately afterwards. To be clear I don't think Chevrolet or GM did it because there was something in it for them, this seemed more like some rogue executive doing United a favour.

The leaks are pretty nauseating but it’s nothing we didn’t already know.

People risk jail for gains big and small all the time.

Those football leaks apparently show that Chelsea have been illegally trading players under 16. This article states they could potentially face up to 4 transfer window bans...

We need someone to actually care about the rules in football. Chelsea, PSG, City. Let's see some action please.

I see they got Switzerland to throw the game against Qatar so they can pad their record in advance of the WC.

Lingard is an incredibly underrated player.

I’m not sure how I feel about Lingard as a player. He had a purple patch last season that lasted a fair amount of time, where it seemed like everything he tried came off. Then he reverted back to being as average as he has been for most of his career.

He’s got some talent in him but he doesn’t show it enough. If United were serious about getting back to the top I think he’d be one of the ones they should be looking at shifting.

I'm pretty sure about how I feel about him for what it's worth. He's an ugly talentless piece of shit and I hope he plays his whole ugly ass career for United.

Oh yeah, he’s a huge chode of a person.

But every time i think he’s got nothing going for him he does something like the above to make me feel otherwise.

Incredibly average player mate.

That's a nice goal but even Charlie Adam scored some nice goals in his career.

Don't be fooled by Klaus post either. Klaus generally knows what he's talking about but every now and then he loses it and writes some completely insane shit. Like Lutefisk is food or Lingard is a good player.

I agree with Klaus for what it's worth, and that's as much of an endorsement as one could hope for.

He's still a prat though.

Lingard, not Klaus.
