Great to raid Serie A again too
Lot of talent to be had

Terrific value though and clever by the club to move for him so quickly. It would have required much more effort to get a deal done after the World Cup. Seems like a player who would be out of our budget this time next year. Sure, he's got a few things to learn but this is the level of signings we need.

Yep, or he'd cost a bomb at the very least. As soon as you've got a profile the fee doubles overnight. Look at Zielinski at Napoli who we were also interested in, according to Italian media. Bloke isn't even a regular and they wouldn't entertain bids beneath €50 million.

Wut? he played 47 games for them in each of the last 2 seasons...

Lots of small-part substitutions. He started 14 league games last year.
i heard he was being set for a new deal at Napoli anyway?
edit.. i see he played even less minutes than Iwobi did for us last season..
doesnt matter, we arent signing him.. lol
I think so, yeah. He's probably gonna start more games now that Jorginho is gone.
Nice to finally get a fiesty, energetic midfield bulldog!
Welcome, little terrier.
Most interesting signing of the summer. Could turn out to be quite a coup
Yes!
Welcome to the Arsenal, Lucas!
He has qualities that we've lacked for years in that midfield position. Can't wait to see him in action for us.
Marcello Donatelli "He has always been strong in understanding those defensive tactical aspects and he is very mature tactically in terms of how he reads the game. He can cope with the gaps that emerge in midfield with great intelligence and he covers very well. He is the one who corrects the spaces and cuts out the passes between the lines in the defensive phase. "After Sergio Busquets, he is tactically the strongest midfielder in Europe."

If that's actually true this is a smashing signing.

Agreed. Not sure if he is Ngolo Kante levels, but hope the Xhaka-Ramsey freeway is discarded and Mustafi, Chambers, Holding and Kos no longer have to be our first line of defence.
Y he’s so switched on to what’s around him.
Very nimble too.
Will be interesting how those who line up alongside him in midfield benefit from him too
Who's the big cane toad bloke with them?
He’s pretty lightweight though. Hope he has good core strength and his low center of gravity can help make up for that, especially in an extra physical premier league.
Welcome to the Arsenal
Terrific torreira,the midfield tormentor

Sliders with socks are in Asterix, keep up.
Kante like engine
Santi like feet
Busquets like tactical understanding and positioning
If he doesn't win us the league by January he's a fraud and needs to be sold
